Russian youngsters accused of extremism slit wrist in court

Two Russian youngsters, who was recently arrested on the charge of extremism, has slit their wrist, as their plea for house arrest has been denied by the court, which handles the case against the youngsters.

At this moment, it remains unclear how they have got hold of the sharp weapon that they have used to slit their hands.

Until now, no information about their health has been publicised.

The youngsters is said to be the members of an anarchist organisation. As per a report, there are ten members in the organisation. According to the report, most of them are youngsters.

Anyway, all of them are under custody now.

One of the members of the organisation, a lady, was recently shifted to her home from jail as her health deteriorated under custody.

The parents of the arrested youngsters have denounced the charges against their children. They have called the organisation as a study group.

Interestingly, the only witness in the case is an undercover policeman, who claimed that he managed to infiltrate into the closed circle of the group.

UK, EU negotiators reach new deal on Brexit

The representatives, who were sent by the European Union and the United Kingdom, have reached a new Brexit deal. UK President Boris Johnson has called the deal as great.

The deal needs the assent of both the European Union parliament and the United Kingdom parliament.

The DUP, the party based in the Ireland region of the UK, has expressed its disagreement with the new deal.

It has declined to give its support to the bill. The party is likely to vote against the bill in the British parliament.

The UK is nearing a deadline given to reach a Brexit deal with the EU and get it passed its parliament.

Day by day, the pressure over the present UK government is increasing. The UK PM is very keen to reach a deal with the EU over the matter of Brexit as soon as possible.

The DUP has a considerable amount of strength in the British parliament. But, it is not as powerful as to get the deal defeated singlehandedly.

Mysterious deaths bring shockwaves to German parcel company

The mysterious death of two parcel company staffs has brought shockwaves to the German parcel company. The incident has forced the company to temporarily windup its business in the branch, form where the unfortunate news have been reported.

A team of fire fighters have been brought in to investigate the incident. The initial investigation has found the death of the staffs unnatural.

Interestingly, the investigators have not found anything to connect the death of the staffs with toxic contamination.

One has been found dead inside the affected office; and the other has been discovered motionless on the driving seat of a parcel van belong to the company.

As per a latest report, in the initial stage of the investigation, the officials have recovered some toxic substance. The report says that it has been declared insufficient to cause health hazards in the later stage of the investigation.

The authorities say that there is nothing to worry. They add that everything is under control.

Russia promises to support Syria to overcome Turkish threat

Russia, which is the prime ally of the Syrian government, has promised to support Syria to overcome the threat posed by Turkey, which launched an offensive against the Syrian Kurds in the North Syria region recently.

Lately, the Syrian Kurds joined hands with their government to defend their country from Turkey.

Most western countries have denounced the aggression launched by Turkey against Syria in the name of creating a safe zone for the Syrian refugees who fled the Syrian war.

Actually, the aggression was launched exploiting the opportunity emerged due to the withdrawal of the US force, who was the main ally of the Syrian Kurds during the Syrian War, from Syria,

Russia’s promise has increased the confidence of the Syrian force who recently marched towards the northern region of the country to support the Syrian Kurds fighting against the Turkish aggressors.

As per a latest report, the Russian forces have already begun their work in the region.

Bulgarian PM asks head of football association to resign

Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov has asked the head of its football association to step down from the post.

The action has come after the Bulgarian football team fans showed racial gestures to the British football players when they reached the Bulgarian home ground to play a European qualifiers against Bulgaria.

In the match, Bulgaria lost to the UK for six goals against null. At least two times that the match was interrupted due to the act of the Bulgarian fans. The fans showed Nazi salute against the British players. And, they also showed similar racial gestures.

The UK is expected to write to the concerned demanding serious action against the Bulgarian football authority, who has failed to provide a free and fair venue for the players to perform to their fullest.

Turkey threatens to release Syrian refugees to Europe

In the face of the severe opposition it has suffered due to its decision to occupy several Kurdish-held regions in Syria to create a Safe Zone for refugees, Turkey has threatened to release the Syrian refugees, who live in the country hoping to enter the European continent, to the said continent.

Tens of thousands of refugees seeking entrance to Europe now live in Syria. Turkey has an informal agreement with Europe regarding the refugee issue. Most European countries, including Germany, don’t want Turkey to release refugees to their territory.

The new threat by Turkey has come when the west has warned Istanbul of serious economic sanction against its military action in Syria against the Kurdish community, who was a great support to the west during their war against the Islamic State of Syria and Iraq.

As per a latest report, severe fighting has occurred between the Syrian Kurds and the Turkish forces in the northern region of Syria. The report says that severe damage has happened in both sides due to the attack.

The US has initiated steps to defuse the tension in the region. The White House has opened communication channels with both the parties.

The European countries have not yet responded publically about Turkey’s latest threat.

Melt into some Yummy Cheese Fondue

Ingredients:

  • 1 Tbsp. dry mustard
  • 2 Tbsp. corn starch
  • 1 pkg. (200 g) Gouda cheese, cubed
  • 1 pkg. (200 g) Swiss cheese, cubed
  • 1 clove garlic, cut in half
  • 1 cup Kraft 100% Parmesan Shredded Cheese
  • 1-1/2 cups dry white wine

Preparation:

In a large bowl, mix corn starch and mustard. Add some cubed cheeses and toss to coat.

Rub the inside portion of fondue potion of the fondue pot with garlic. Bring into boil in medium heat. Slowly add the cheese cubes, stir constantly until the whole cheese is melted.

Add and cook the Parmesan. Stir for 2 to 3 minutes, until it is melted completely. Prevent the sauce from coming into boiling by reducing the heat if necessary. Serve hot!

3 killed in Venice boat speed record attempt

Three people, including Italian champion speed boat racer Fabio Buzzi have died after a power boat crashed near the Italian city of Venice.

The boat had crashed near the rocks of the Punta Sabbioni, off Venice. Italian emergency services said the bodies were recovered from the submerged cabin of the boat.

The boat, which was trying to break the offshore speed record from Monte Carlo hit an artificial reef.

Fabio Buzzi (76), an Italian businessman and power boat world champion, who was leading the team, was on an attempt to set a new record.

Dutch mechanic whose name is still not known, and Luca Nicolini from Italy were the other two, who got killed in the accident, says the president of the Italian Offshore and Endurance Committee, Giampaolo Montavoci.

Reports said that the other member in their team, Italian Mario Invernizzi, survived with injuries.

The ‘oldest woman’ was not fake: says France

France claims that the oldest person on record was not fake. The officials of France have refused to change the death certificate of Jeanne Calment, the oldest woman on record, despite claims of fraud by Russian researchers.

The death of Jeanne Calment was in 1997, aged 122 years and 165 days. But, the Russian researchers, on account of their studies claims that she died in 1930s.

She had acquired the place in the Guinness Book of World Records as the world’s oldest person.

Reports said that Jeanne also had claimed that she had met the artist Vincent van Gogh (who was born in 1853).

The team of Russian researchers insists that Jeanne’s daughter had taken her identity in order to avoid paying inheritance tax.

But, the French officials discredited the claims of Russian researchers saying that Jeanne’s age is “well-documented”.

The film is directed by Joachim Ronning from a story by Linda Woolverton and a screenplay is done by Linda Woolverton and Micah Fitzerman-Blue & Noah Harpster, the film is produced by Joe Roth, Angelina Jolie and Duncan Henderson with Matt Smith, Jeff Kirschenbaum and Michael Vieira serving as executive producers.
