France to dismiss police officers accused of beating up black music producer

A senior French administrator has promised to take strict action against the police officers. He has said that he would recommend the government to dismiss the officers.

French President Emmanuel Macron has expressed his sadness about the incident. He has said that the action was unacceptable and shameful.

He has advised the government to send appropriate suggestions to reinstall the trust of people in the police force.

It has been alleged that the incident has reduced the trust of people in the police force.

The accused police officers have been suspended by the French government. They have been questioned in connection with the case.

Anyway, the incident has opened up a serious public debate over the matter, and also led to a fresh scrutiny.

Iran blames west for the assassination of Mohsen Fakhrizadeh

The Middle East country of Iran has blamed the western intelligence agencies and Israel for the assassination of Mohsen Fakhrizadeh.

Mr. Fakhrizadeh was a highly talented nuclear scientist. It was considered as the mastermind of the Iran nuclear program.

The scientist was attacked in Absard in the Iranian county of Damavand.

The west considered the scientist as a big threat. He was specifically named in a paper presented by Israel on the Iran nuclear program.

Iran has pledged to avenge the assassination of its scientist. A senior Iranian leader has said that his country would strike back like a thunder.

The Iran nuclear program is very controversial. Though Iran asserts that their nuclear program is for peaceful purposes, the west does not believe in the claim.

It is not the first time a top Iranian official has been assassinated at the behest of the western intelligence agency.

Few months ago, a senior Iranian military official was assassinated in a similar way.

Iran, it seems, is very angry about the killing. They have termed the killing a clear case of the violation of International laws by the west.

Israel has not yet responded about the allegations that have been levelled against the country in connection with the assassination.

It has been alleged that Israel has played a vital role in the killing.

Russian Covid-19 vaccine less expensive than competitors

The vaccine developed by Russia to fight the Covid-19 pandemic, Sputnik V, will be less expansive than the other vaccines which are expected to hit the market along with the Russian vaccine in the near future, as per a latest report.

Russia is the first country which has come up with a strong vaccine against the virus outbreak – which has brought the world to a standstill.

Though the west initially expressed scepticism over the efficiency of the vaccine, it has later softened its stand against the vaccine.

The main allegation against the vaccine is that it was launched before the completion of its final phase of clinical examination.

Notably, as per a recent study report, the efficiency of the Russian vaccine is not less than 95 per cent.

The west also now admits that the vaccine made by Russian is not less than 90 per cent effective.

It is learned that India will join hands with Russia for the mass production of the Russian-made vaccine.

In a recent statement, Russia has said that an Indian pharma company, Hetero, has agreed to produce in India over 100 million doses every year.

French court dismisses request seeking postponement of trial against former French supremo

A court in France has dismissed a request seeking the postponement of a trial against former French President Nicolas Sarkozy.

He is accused of offering a lucrative job to a judge in exchange of a vital information on a campaign finance inquiry.

The request to postpone the trial was submitted lately on the ground that his medical c0ndition could worsen if he was presented in the court.

The court ordered a detailed medical report to evaluate the claim made by the defendant to postpone the trial.

The report notified no material in support of the defendant’s claim, though it suggested the strict observation of physical distancing norms.

The development is a big blow to the former President.

Given the strict order the court has made, the trial is expected to resume in the coming week itself.

Mr. Sarkozy was once a very powerful political leader based in France. It is the first modern President of France. His mixed ethnicity was what made him more acceptable.

The case against him has badly damaged his image. Though he has maintained the stand that he is innocent, the case has already made a severe damage to his reputation.

Still, there are many in France who admire this modernist leader, who brought a new image to the country.

Germany suspends police officials over far-rightist contest

It is not the first time that the German government has taken a strict action to weed out far rightist elements from its police service.

The suspended officials are accused of participating in online discussions supporting far-rightist politics.

Far-rightist politics is the biggest threat the European country is facing at this juncture.

Not only Germany, both also the entire Europe has witnessed the rise of far-rightist politics.

It is feared that the rise of this politics sweeps away the understanding between European countries nourished by the powerful multilateral organisation of European Union.

Germany is the most powerful country in the European Union. It is not wrong to assume that Germany is the backbone of the union.

The rise of far-rightist politics in Germany, in that sense, is definitely a serious threat to the future of the unity of the European Union.

Armenian economy minister submits resignation

Armenian economy minister Tigran Khachatryan has submitted his resignation, amidst growing protest against the government’s decision to reach a peace agreement with Azerbaijan to end a conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh.

Nagorno-Karabakh War: Russia scores at the expense of the EU

The Nagorno-Karabakh War is the most brutal war the continent of Europe has witnessed in its recent history.

The battle was between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Nagorno-Karabakh is a region located between these two countries. The region was controlled by ethnic Armenians, though was internationally recognized as a part of Azerbaijan. The conflict began, when Azerbaijan launched a military move to establish its recognised claim over the territory.

Azerbaijan had the support of Turkey and even the European Union.

When the war reached its final stage, Armenia, which enjoyed the indirect support of Russia, was at a losing end.

Generally speaking, Azerbaijan has won the war by establishing its authority of the majority of the land which were under the control of ethnic Armenians.

But, actually, the real winner is not Azerbaijan and Turkey; it is Russia.

It is Russia which has brokered a peace deal between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

What the development points at is the failure of the European Union – which is considered as the most powerful organisation based in Europe.

In reality, Russia has won where the European Union has miserably failed. What the incident exposes is the weakness of the union, which boats of its unity and stability, and is known for its peace-making framework.

Croatians sceptical about Covid-19 vaccine

The majority of the people of Croatia has expressed their distrust in the effectiveness of the process of vaccination against Covid-19.  

In a survey recently conducted in the country, only 43 per cent have responded in favour of the process. Notably, around 57 per cent has taken a stand against the process.

The shocking data has been revealed by a survey conducted by a market research firm, named Valicon.

The report has come at the time pharma giants are aggressively competing with each other to dominate the vaccination platform.

What the survey report actually reflects is the confusion prevail in the universe about the effectiveness of the vaccination process against the virus.

As many as 523 people, all of them Croatians, have participated in the survey conducted by the market research firm.

Anyway, the latest statement released by US-based pharma giant Pfizer contradicts the survey presented by the market research firm.

As per the statement, the vaccine developed by the US-based firm is more than 95 per cent efficient.

Another vaccine developed to fight the virus outbreak is said to be around 90 per cent effective. It is one developed by Oxford.

The assurances come from the vaccination sector dismisses the confusion raised by the surveys like the one conducted in Croatia baseless.

German chancellor expresses concerns about vaccine distribution to poor countries

German chancellor Angela Merkel has expressed his concerns about the distribution of vaccine for Covid-19 to poor countries.

She has raised her concern, while she was speaking at the G20 meeting.

She has invited the attention of the members of the G20 into the matter. The G20 members have also responded positively to the concerns raised by the European superpower.

The statement has come shorty after the United States asserted that the initial stage of vaccination against Covid-19 in the country would begin as early as December, 2020.

Would poor countries be able to afford the vaccine program, is the big question at this juncture.

It seems that Germany wants the G20 to take up a prominent role to make the vaccine program affordable to all the countries across the world – irrespective of their economic status.

Germany is one of the prime members of G20.

The G20 summit 2020 has been hosted by the Middle East country of Saudi Arabia. This year, due to the Covid-19 crisis, the summit has been conducted virtually.

Snowstorm batters Russia

The far-eastern region of the European country of Russia has been battered by the natural disaster of snowstorm.

The disaster has badly affected power supply and transportation. The region has experienced severe power cuts due to the issue.

All the main transport infrastructures have been badly affected due to the development.  

Russia has declared a state of emergency in the region which has been left devastated by the natural disaster.

A huge team of rescue officials have been sent to the region to help those who have been affected by the disaster.

In order to give effective support to the rescue team, a team of army personals have been deployed in the region.

This is the first time that the region has experienced this kind of disaster in the recent history.

This kind of disaster is actually the aftereffect of climate change.

It is high time to address the issue of climate change. If the world fails to address the issue in a timely manner, the world will witness this kind of disaster in future also.

The country should conduct a detailed study into the matter. It should analyse which all regions in the country are vulnerable.
