France Stage Late Comeback to Beat Belgium

France scored four goals in the final 13 minutes to beat Belgium in a dramatic Nations League comeback, extending Zinedine Zidane’s unbeaten start as manager. Belgium took the lead through Dodi Lukebakio, who finished after receiving a superb long pass from Romeo Lavia. France eventually equalised through Desire Doue’s low strike from outside the box.

Rayan Cherki then put France ahead after being set up by substitute Michael Olise. Olise added two more goals in the closing stages, both assisted by Doue, completing a remarkable turnaround. The Bayern Munich forward has now been involved in 17 goals in 16 appearances for France in 2026.

France remain top of Group A1 with 10 points from four matches, while Belgium are third with six points. Italy moved into second place after defeating Turkey 3-1 at home. Gianluca Scamacca opened the scoring before Aral Simsir equalised, with Riccardo Calafiori and Pio Esposito later securing the victory for Italy.
