The relation between Russia and Norway has hit
a new low, after the latter alleged that the former attacked the email system
of Norwegian parliament with the help of Russian cyber attackers.
Russia has denied the allegation levelled
against the country by Norway. The European power has called the allegation provocative.
Meanwhile, Norway has criticized Russia with
hard words. The country has termed the attack extremely serious.
Norway and Russia are not in a good relation
with each other. Norway technically stands with the European Union. At the same
time, Russia is technically out of the union.
The latest development is expected to widen
the gap between the European Union and Russia, which is the successor of the erstwhile
Soviet Socialist Republics of Russia.
It is important that the issue in the Eastern Europe is handled in a sensible manner. It is pertinent to note that the disturbance in the region can easily trigger a global crisis.

A thirty-nine-year-old Italian woman has been
booked on the charges of embezzlement over the complaint filed by Vatican.
She was an employee of Cardinal Angelo Becciu,
a senior Vatican official who was recently demoted over a similar charge.
The arrest has been made after an Interpol warrant
was issued against her in connection with this matter.
The woman
has denied the charge levelled against her. She has admitted that she received a
payment of €500,000 from Cardinal Becciu.
She has defended her stand, by saying that the payment was
made to her to provide parallel diplomacy to help missionaries in conflict
areas.
The Cardinal has also supported the argument raised by the
woman.
Like the woman, the demoted church official has also denounced
the allegation that was levelled against him.
The allegation has severely damaged the reputation of the Vatican administration. The administration needs to do an herculean task to erase the damage made by the latest development.

The European country of Cyprus has decided to
suspend a controversial citizenship scheme, which grants citizenship to those
who invest a minimum of 2 million Euro in the country.
The scheme has come under spotlight after an investigation
conducted by a renowned International media house exposed the flaws in the admiration
of the scheme.
The investigation exposed how the scheme was misused
by a Chinese businessman to acquire the citizenship of the country.
The decision is expected to come into force in
the near future itself.
It was in the year 2004 Cyprus was offered a
membership in the European Union.
What comes naturally with the citizenship of
Cyprus is an opportunity to access the facility of visa free entry to any
country in the European Union.
Cyprus is at present one of the very few
countries in the continent of Europe which offers the opportunity of securing citizenship
in exchange of investment.
Earlier, the EU warned its member countries to
stay vigilant while offering citizenship in exchange of investment.
It is not clear whether any other country in the continent
will follow the footprint of the European country of Cyprus.
It is important to make sure the citizenship in exchange of investment is not misused.

In a
shocking move, the tainted leadership of Belarus has given free hand to the police
force to handle with the protest – emerged in the country since the disputed
election.
The police
have been awarded the right to use lethal force against the protesters who has
extended their support to the anti-government movement in the country.
The tainted
election is the triggering point of the issue in the country.
The election,
which was denounced as unfair by the opposition, awarded a huge victory to President Alexander Lukashenko.
Several
human rights organisations have exposed the unfair attitude of the country
towards the protesters. They have published reports on how much improperly the
situation has been handled by the country. As per a report submitted by a human
rights organisation, the protesters have even been threatened with serious violence
by the police.
Many western
countries have warned that they would impose severe sanction against the
country, demanding that the country should pave way for a free and fair
election as soon as possible.
The strength
of the present Belarus leadership is the support it gets from Russia. Russia
has extended enormous support to the tainted leadership of Belarus.
It is yet to be seen how the things will evolve.

Belarus
has used severe force to quell protest originated against its President, Alexander
Lukashenko, who was recently re-elected as the head of the country.
As per
a report, the Belarusian riot police have used water cannon and stun grenades against
the protesters.
The
protest was triggered by the disputed election – which declared Mr. Alexander
as the winner of the presidential election.
Several
human rights organisations have raised serious criticism against the way Belarus
has handled the protest organised against the disputed election.
Amnesty
International has demanded the intervention of the western forces to address
the issues developed in Belarus.
In the
latest rally also, several people have been booked. Since the emergence of the protest,
numerous people have been detained by the Belarus police.
The police,
in the latest protest, have blasted protesters with coloured water to mark them
out for arrest.
Many believe
that it is high time to interfere in the issue.
Belarus is a
country in the Eastern Europe, which has enormous growth potential. It is not
in a good relation with the European Union.
It has a
good relation with Russia. Recently, Russia offered support to the country to
quell the protest.
The west is closely watching the development in the Eastern Europe.

In the recent past, the continent of Europe has witnessed
a rise in Covid-19 cases. The raise has left European countries in a difficult
situation.
Some countries have already re-imposed some of the restrictions
which they removed.
Recently, the Spanish government attempted to impose a partial
lockdown in a heavily populated region in the country.
The attempt was overturned by the court, as they found the
decision taken by the government inappropriate.
Germany has intensified its efforts to contain the spread
of the Covid-19 outbreak. Angela Merkel, the German chancellor, is expected to convene
a meeting with the leaders of her country’s regional governments.
Span and Italy are the most affected regions in the
continent of the Europe.
In the latest wave of the disease, the countries that need
to stay vigilant are the ones which suffered during the initial wave.
It implies that the aforesaid European countries need to
gear up its efforts to bring the situation under control.
It is said that the European medial infrastructure, unlike
the previous wave of the disease, this time is highly competent to defend the
wave.
It is believed that the latest wave is not capable to make an impact as serious as that of the previous one.

As the Asian country
of India, which was the first country which introduced a tough lockdown, has reached
the advanced stage of the unlock phase, it has offered several relaxations, especially
to its entertainment industry (the rapidly growing industry).

of certain relaxations, an Internationally acclaimed beauty contest has been
organised in the country.
The third edition of globally
acclaimed beauty contest Manappuram Mrs South India has been organised at SAJ

Around 100 people has lost their life in the Armenia-Azerbaijan
battle. Unfortunately, among those who have been affected include civilians.
The battle was triggered by the Nagorno-Karabakh issue. The issue
is one of the oldest disputes in the European region.
Armenia considers Nagorno-Karabakh, which is under the control of
its ethnic minorities, as an integral part of the country.
Azerbaijan rejects that claim made by Armenia. The country considers
it as the real owner of the region.
Azerbaijan’s claim has the backing of the liberal western powers
such as the European Union and the United States of America.
Likewise, Armenia has the backing of the European country of Russia.
Both Armenia and Azerbaijan are the former Soviet Socialist Republics.
The initial dispute over the ownership of the territory began during
the early 1990s – shortly after the disintegration of the United States of
Soviet Socialist Republics.
The global community watches the latest development in the continent
of Europe with a curious eye.
Many fear that the latest development will trigger a huge crisis in the continent.
