Russia lifts restrictions

The European country of Russia has lifted some restrictions imposed to curb the spread of the Covid-19 outbreak.

The decision has come shortly after Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that the country had passed the peak.

Some medical experts have expressed their disagreement over the decision of the Russian government to lift some restrictions imposed to curb the spread of the outbreak – which has brought the world into an unpleasant state.

The country has not yet witnessed any slowdown in the spread of the outbreak.

Anyway, the removal of the restrictions has allowed people to use the public spaces like parks and shopping centres freely.

The removal has marked an end to the nine week lockdown period the country has gone through as part of its fight against the outbreak.

Unfortunately, the sad reality is that the infection rate still remains high.

The country has so far witnessed 4,14,878 infections – which is the third highest number in the world after the US and Brazil. It has also seen as many as 4,855 deaths.
