Latest Fairford Airbase Suspect Released on Bail

British police have released on bail a 22-year-old man who was the seventh person arrested in connection with an investigation into a suspected terrorist plot targeting RAF Fairford airbase in Gloucestershire. Police said the man was released under strict conditions and the investigation remains ongoing.

Six other men arrested as part of the investigation have also been released on bail. Five British men were detained near the airbase on September 27, while a dual British-Iranian national was arrested later that week.

The investigation follows a US decision to remove American bomber aircraft from RAF Fairford after officials cited a security threat linked to Iran. US officials told Reuters they were concerned about a possible complex drone attack on the facility, though many details of the suspected plot have not been made public.
