Iran releases Nazanin temporarily

The Asian country of Iran has released several prisoners, including British-Iranian charity worker Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe – who was booked on the charge of espionage, due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Her husband, who has been fighting for her release for last few years, has expressed his happiness.

She was arrested when she reached Iran to meet her parents. Her defence that she reached the country to introduce her child to her parents was dismissed by Iran.

Now, she is permitted to live with her parents in Tehran. But, she is to wear a tag on her wrist indicating her status as a prisoner.

Iran is one of the worst affected countries in the world. The country has released several prisoners due to the virus outbreak.

The release of the activist gives a temporary relief to many who has been campaigning for the release of the activist for last few years.

The arrest of the activist by Iran has invited severe global outcry against the human right violation committed by the Middle East country.
