U.S. president Joe Biden talked with his Chinese partner Xi Jinping on Wednesday evening (Washington time), the principal call between the two chiefs since Mr. Biden accepted office on January 20.

On Thursday three Turkish warriors were killed in another Turkish military hostile against a Kurdish assailants in northern Iraq, said Turkey’s Defense Ministry.

Two of officers were killed Wednesday in a conflict that ejected in northern Iraq’s Gara area on the main day of the most recent Turkish activity, the service said. Another trooper passed on of his injuries on Thursday.

The military said Turkish planes fought back by striking focuses of the prohibited Kurdistan Workers’ Party, or PKK, in Gara.

There was no prompt remark from the assailant group on the conflicts. Turkey has done various cross-line ground and flying offensives against the PKK, which keeps up bases in northern Iraq.

The bunch started an insurrection against Turkey in the mostly Kurdish southeast in 1984 and the contention has killed huge number of individuals. The PKK is viewed as a terrorist group by the United States and the European Union.

The European country of Russia has begun a crackdown on the allies of Alexei Navalny, who was recently arrested by the Russian police in connection with a politically motivated case.

Mr. Navalny is the most powerful opposition leader in the European country of Russia. He recently suffered a serious poison attack.

He was poisoned while he was travelling to Moscow in a domestic air. Initially, when he was treated by Russian doctors, the possibility of the poison attack was ruled out. But when he was moved out of the country to Germany, it was confirmed that he was attacked with an unknown poisonous substance.

While he was in Germany, some serious cases were registered against him. His supporters alleged that the cases were intended to prevent the return of the leader.

Anyway, the cases could not prevent the return of the leader. He was arrested as soon as he returned to his homeland.

The latest crackdown is the latest among the actions the Russian government has initiated in the recent past to reduce the strength of the opposition of the country.

Russia is at present ruled by an authoritarian style system. It cannot tolerate dissent. It simply implies the government likes not to give space to the opposition.

Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny is likely to remain in the Russian custody for at least thirty days.

The Russian government has not yet responded to the appeal made by the International community demanding the release of the opposition leader.

Last day, several western countries particularly France demanded the immediate release of Mr. Navalny, who is a fearless critic of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Mr. Navalny was arrested by the Russian police after he had returned to his country.

Last year, the Russian opposition leader was poisoned while he was travelling towards Moscow in a domestic flight.

He was shifted to Germany immediately, as his supporters accused the Russian leader for the incident.

The Russian government recently filed several charges against the opposition leader allegedly to prevent his return to the country.

It is alleged that Vladimir Putin does not wish to allow the return of the opposition leader, who is capable to threaten the domination of the Russian president over the country.

Anyway, the Russian government faces serious pression from the global community to release the opposition leader.

In the coming days, the community is expected to step up its pressure over the country.

World-renowned spy novelist John le Carre, who has contributed several exceptional works such as Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and The Spy Who Came In From The Cold, has passed away due to a short-term health condition.

His fans have expressed shock. Several popular literary as well as non-literary personalities have expressed their condolence.

A person close to the legendary spy novelist has termed him as the greatest spy novelist of all times.

Mr. Carre’s novels are entirely differed from other spy novels. What makes the novels special is its approach to the subjects.

His novels contradict largely the western version of the Cold War. The novels offer adequate space for the eastern version of the Cold War too.

Mr. Carre, who was around 89 at the time of his death, was survived by his wife, jane, and their four sons.

In the statement his family has released to media houses, it is said that Mr. Carree has died of pneumonia.

In his sixty-year long career, he has contributed as many as 25 novels as well as a memoir to the world of literature.

Though he has passed away, his memories will always remain in the form of the extra-ordinary contributions he has made to the world of literature.
