Bashkortastan Beauty Iluza Isyandavletova Takes the Crown as Miss Asia 2023

Iluza Isyandavletova from Bashkortastan has won the title of the Miss Asia 2023. Aayushma Bajracharya of Nepal achieved the first runner-up position, Cerena Ann Johnson from the UAE secured the second runner-up title, and Jinnapat Palsuea from Thailand earned the third runner-up position. The crowning ceremony was attended by former Miss Asia Winner Nguyen Thi Yen Trang, SAJ Group Hotels and Resorts CMD Sajan Varghese, Mini Sajan, CEO of SAJ Group Hotels and Resorts, and Jolly Antony, Chairman of Vibe Munnar. Dr. Ajit Ravi, Chairman of Pegasus, was also in attendance at the event.

The contestants underwent a grooming session conducted by Pegasus, a renowned organization dedicated to fostering the growth of young talents and showcasing their modeling careers and abilities to the world. Pegasus, with its commitment to empowering emerging talents, played a pivotal role in refining and enhancing the skills of the participants, ensuring they were well-prepared for the global stage. Through these grooming sessions, Pegasus exemplifies its mission to provide a platform for aspiring individuals to step forward confidently and make a mark in the world of modeling and talent.

Out of numerous Miss Asia pageant hopefuls, 15 emerged as finalists. Unfortunately, two contestants faced unexpected challenges, including visa issues, which hindered their participation in the finals. The well-deserving winners of Miss Asia 2023 were adorned with splendid gold crowns designed by Preeti Prakash from Parakkat Jewellers. Thirteen contestants showcased their poise and elegance on the runway throughout the competition, featuring three distinct rounds: the National Costume Round, the White Cocktail Round, and the Royal Blue Gown Round.

SAJ Group Hotels and Resorts, in collaboration with DQUE, played a crucial role as the primary partners in coordinating the Miss Asia 2023 event, organized by Pegasus Global Pvt Ltd. Unique Times, FICF, Vibe, Parakkat Resorts, and DQUE Face and Body Skin Friendly Soap provided their support as powered by Partners. Aiswaria Advertisements, Kalpana International, Times New, UT World, Europe Times, Photogenic Fashion and Weddings, Neenu Pro The Sound Experts, Green Media, Good Day Hotels and Resorts, Akshay Inco, Alcazar, FOG, St Joseph’s Hospital Trust, and JD Institute of Fashion Technology served as co-partners. The objective of this competition was to highlight the diverse cultural heritage and profound values of the participating countries while also promoting tourism.

In this interview segment, we meet the second runner-up, Samruddi V Shetty, whose remarkable journey as an engineering graduate and model inspires all. Congratulations on your achievement as the second runner-up for Miss Glam World! Can you give us a short intro about you?

Hi, I am Samruddi Shetty. About me, I am an engineering graduate and I currently work as a data engineer in an IT firm. Alongside my engineering career, I am also into modeling and have always been passionate about beauty pageants. It has been a great experience and a privilege to represent India on an International platform like Miss Glam World. Embracing both my professional and personal interests has been a fulfilling journey, and I’m grateful for the opportunities that have come my way.

Can you tell us about your preparation for the competition? How has Pegasus helped you out to ensure you were ready for the stage?

Being honest, beauty pageants require a lot of preparation, it’s not just about how beautiful you look but it’s more about how you represent yourself, the knowledge you possess about what is happening around you and your take on the issues and how you would use your voice to bring about a change. My preparation began with me realising why I want to be on this stage, working on every aspect it takes to be on this stage and molding myself with new learning’s every day.
Pegasus has played a very integral part in this journey of mine, the grooming we got on various aspects like ramp walk, personality development, voice modulation, stage presence, etc has helped me in cracking the code of pageants. Thank you to our groomer Konchita ma’am and the entire Pegasus organisation, Ajit Ravi sir, Jebitha ma’am and everyone for this wonderful opportunity.

What challenges did you encounter during the pageant, and how did you overcome them?

As to how beautiful pageant might seem to be but the journey might be the same challenging There are many challenges, may it be financially, mentally or may be some days are just not meant for us. What I have realised is, the key here is to just learn from the situation and move ahead. Consistently working on our dreams will definitely take us to what belongs to us. Let us keep patience and faith in the journey.

How has participating in Miss Glam World impacted your life and personal growth?

It has made me a much more confident individual. It has shown me that hard work will never leave your side. The learning from this platform is something that I will cherish forever and put to the right use in my everyday life too.

As the second runner-up, what do you believe set you apart from the other contestants?

Throughout the pageant, I have always kept reminding myself why I am here and never forget my goal but at the same time, a very prominent lesson that pageants have taught me is to embrace the journey and live every moment to the fullest. And I think that is what sets me apart. Being present, staying calm, embracing the journey and learning sometimes from every situation, person or event.

What are the most significant lessons you learned from your Miss Glam World experience?

Miss glam world is definitely a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. It taught me that more than the destination it’s the journey that matters. So many contestants from so many different countries, so much diversity but at same time there was love, care, and sisterhood for one another. This experience did show the beauty of pageants and the wonderful essence it carries on humankind.

How do you plan to use your platform and recognition as the second runner-up to make a positive impact on society?

I know that I can’t suddenly bring a big change in society but practically whatever little is possible from my end, I will work to the fullest to bring that positive difference. May it be like the smallest of motivating someone who is doubting their own ability irrespective of what field it is. Or being a voice or lending a helping hand to the ones in need.
I was always taught the importance of education and through this platform, I want to show the world the importance of education and the change it can bring on a personal and at a global level. By this even if I can bring about a change in few people’s life that itself would mean a lot to me.

Can you share your favorite aspect of the pageant experience and why it was so meaningful to you?

It would definitely be the sisterhood. This journey just blesses us with so many sisters , friends, mentors, role models, etc. We all most definitely know that this is a competition but at the same time everyone here is there for one another. There is love, empathy, sharing, caring for one another and this is something that certainly stands out when it comes to pageants.

What advice would you give to aspiring contestants who are considering participating in Miss Glam World in the future?

Just go for it girl! This journey will mold you into a better individual in so many ways, not just in the pageant space but on a personal level too. This is definitely a very safe place with right mentors, right guidance and great environment. Try to always give your best but do not ever forget your roots.

How do you see yourself continuing to be involved in the pageant world or the beauty and fashion industry moving forward?

THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING, this is what I tell myself every time. Like any other field I believe pageants are also a limitless journey of learning and knowledge gaining. So I will certainly continue this journey of pageants and grab every opportunity that comes my way and make the best use of it.

Throughout the competition, you must have met and interacted with various contestants. Have you formed any strong friendships or connections that you plan to maintain?

It’s said “You are an average of 5 people around you “ and I feel it’s always important to be surrounded by like-minded people and for me these friendships that I have been fortunate to make during my pageant journey are very precious. The energy, and vibe when you talk to people having similar goals like us is wonderful. Yes, I have also made some precious friendships that I will treasure forever.

What do you think the pageant industry can do to further empower and support women in their personal and professional endeavors?

Pageant industry can become more inclusive, open and welcoming to every individual irrespective of their colour, creed, height, age, marital status, etc and with the help of social media and other platforms it should show the world what a beautiful platform this is and how it empowers women community as a whole.

Beyond the glitz and glamour of pageantry, what are your personal interests and passions?

Beyond the glitz and glamour of pageantry, I would want to be a strong, independent woman who is successful in her professional career and who can inspire others with her positive actions.
Being an engineer myself my parents have always emphasised on the importance of education and through this platform I want to voice for the education of underprivileged and show the world the prominence of education.

How has your experience in Miss Glam World shaped your perception of beauty and its role in today’s society?

Beauty for me has always been something beyond one’s external appearance. In my perspective beauty, especially when it comes to beauty pageants is all about how confidently you project yourself and your thoughts and in doing so, It’s essential that we all collectively promote diverse representations of beauty and focus on inner qualities and talents.

In the future, would you consider participating in other pageants or similar competitions to further your personal and professional growth?

Yes, I have always believed beauty pageants is a journey of limitless learning and continuous personal development, it has also helped me in both, my personal and professional front in putting forth my ideas confidently. So I will continue to work hard, follow my heart , trust the process and grab every opportunity that comes my way and make the best use of it.

Being crowned Miss Glam World 2023 was an incredible honor for me, and I am humbled by the opportunity to represent Belgium. As a born refugee, Belgium provided me with countless opportunities and shaped the person I am today. This blog aims to share my emotions, experiences, and the gratitude I feel towards Belgium and the Miss Glam World organization. It also sheds light on the significance of pageants in personal development, inclusivity, and empowerment.

A Dream Come True:

When the moment arrived and my name was called as the winner, a rush of emotions overwhelmed me. From the initial countdown to the announcement, I experienced a mix of excitement, anticipation, and nostalgia. Representing Belgium as Miss Glam World 2023 was a dream come true. The feeling of being crowned was surreal, and it took time for the reality to sink in.

Family’s Reaction:

The support and love of my family have been instrumental in my journey. After the crowning, I immediately reached out to my uncle, and his emotional reaction was heartwarming. Their belief in me and the sense of belonging they provide have been a constant source of inspiration.

First Pageant Experience:

My first pageant experience was Miss Exclusives in Belgium when I was just 16 years old. It opened my eyes to a whole new world of learning, bonding with diverse cultures, and personal growth. Each pageant I have participated in since then has been a unique opportunity to meet new people, exchange cultural experiences, and continuously learn and improve.

Inspiration to Participate in Miss Glam World:

My inspiration to participate in Miss Glam World stemmed from following the organization for several years. The preparation for the finale involved maintaining punctuality, supporting fellow contestants, and adopting the mindset of a true winner—someone who never surrenders in the face of challenges.

Balancing Career and Personal Life:

Balancing my career and personal life is not easy, especially with the passion I have for beauty pageants. However, effective communication and planning have helped me manage both aspects. Openly discussing my aspirations with my workplace and ensuring clear expectations have allowed me to pursue my dreams.

Role Models and Inspirations:

The women in my household, particularly my sisters, have been my biggest inspirations and role models. Their determination and drive have helped me overcome obstacles and stay focused on my goals. They have provided me with a strong sense of belonging and support, for which I am eternally grateful.

Talent Presentation and Preparation:

For the talent round, I chose to showcase an Indian dance called “Pasoori.” I prepared for it by watching YouTube videos and practicing diligently. Consistent practice and dedication helped me deliver the performance I envisioned.

Advice for Dreamers:

To those who dream of achieving similar success but hesitate to take the first step, my advice is to embrace preparation, train hard, and seek guidance when needed. Joining pageants like Miss Glam World can be a life-changing experience, and genuine support from organizations and mentors is readily available.

Advice for Young Girls:

For young girls preparing for their first pageant, I encourage them to focus on their walk, speech, and behavior towards others. Practicing walking in heels, watching tutorial videos, and being genuine and kind to others are essential aspects. Most importantly, staying true to oneself and treating others with respect are keys to success.

Using the Platform to Inspire:

As Miss Glam World 2023, I recognize the responsibilities that come with this title. I plan to utilize my platform to inspire and empower young individuals who look up to me. Through promoting my charity which supports refugee settlements in India, I aim to inspire others to pursue their dreams while making a positive impact on society.

Evolution of Pageants:

Pageants have undoubtedly evolved to become more inclusive and empowering for all contestants. The shift towards embracing diversity in terms of physical appearance, hair, and body types has made beauty pageants a platform for celebrating uniqueness and breaking stereotypes.

Personal Development through Pageants:

Participating in beauty pageants has significantly contributed to my personal development. It has helped me overcome insecurities, become more confident, and improve my communication skills. Pageants provide a platform for growth, self-expression, and embracing one’s individuality.

Winning the Miss Glam World 2023 title has been a life-altering experience for me. The journey has taught me the value of gratitude, resilience, and embracing one’s passions. I am immensely grateful to Belgium and the Miss Glam World organization for the opportunities they have provided me. Pooja Mohan from India Emerges as SAJ Group Hotels and Resorts Mrs Glam World 2023 Winner

SAJ Group Hotels and Resorts presents Mrs Glam World 2023 title is now owned by Indian beauty Pooja Mohan along with Bocharova Darya from Russia as first runner-up and Niraneeswary Paramasivam from Malaysia as second runner-up. The second edition of Mrs Glam World was conducted on June 21st at Le Meridien, Kochi. Pegasus Global Pvt Ltd, a prominent event production company in India, organized the remarkable event. Pegasus Global Pvt Ltd brought their wealth of experience and creativity to create an exceptional experience for all attendees. Their meticulous planning and attention to detail ensured that every aspect of the event was executed flawlessly, leaving a lasting impression on all participants and guests.

Former Mrs Glam World winner, Brandina Lubuli crowned the winner of Mrs Glam World pageant. SAJ Hotels and Resorts CMD Sajan Varghese, Pegasus Chairman Dr. Ajit Ravi crowned the first runner-up and second runner-up.

Dr Kuriachan (International Motivational Trainer), Rita Mathan (Owner, Pro Nails Studio), Brandina Lubuli (Mrs Glam World 2022 Winner) and Alesia Raut (Russian Model and Groomer) were on the judging panel. The winners of the subtitles were selected by a panel of eminent persons.

However, due to some personal hurdles, one of the contestants could not participate in the finals. There was no elimination throughout the Mrs Glam World pageant.

Zomky Tenzin from Belgium Acquires Title of Manappuram SAJ Miss Glam World 2023

Zomky Tenzin from Belgium bagged the Manappuram and SAJ presents Miss Glam World 2023 title along with Aayusha Pyakurel from Nepal as first runner-up and Samruddhi Shetty from India as second runner-up. The fourth edition of Miss Glam World was conducted on June 21st at Le Meridien, Kochi. Renowned for their expertise in event production, Pegasus Global Pvt Ltd took charge of organizing a truly remarkable and noteworthy event. With their unwavering commitment to excellence, Pegasus Global Pvt Ltd proved once again why they are highly regarded in the industry, delivering an event that surpassed expectations and left a lasting impact on all those involved.

Sajan Varghese, CMD, SAJ Group Hotels and Resorts, and Dr Ajit Ravi, Chairman, Pegasus, crowned the winners of the Miss Glam World pageant with 13 beauties from around the world. Out of 40 contestants who applied for the Miss Glam World pageant, 16 were selected as finalists. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances such as visa cancellation and personal challenges, three contestants could not make it to the finals.

Instead, they prioritize talent and personality as the key criteria for evaluation.

Manappuram DQUE Miss Queen of India 2023 title Owned by Samruddi V Shetty

Samruddi V Shetty from Karnataka crowned as Manappuram DQUE Miss Queen of India 2023 along with Debasmita from Rajasthan as first runner-up and Meurel Viegas from Goa as second runner-up. The pageant was conducted on 16th January at Le Meridien, Kochi.

The winner was crowned by former Miss Queen of India Ankita Kharat. Pegasus Chairman, Dr Ajit Ravi and Principal Commissioner Ministry of Finance New Delhi, Sriram Bharat crowned the first and second runner up winners. 15 contestants were selected from around the nation for the Miss Queen of India competition. The contestants also had 1 week of grooming classes led by experts.

The competition progressed in three rounds, Royal Blue Indian Ethnic wear, white cocktail and golden gown. The Miss Queen of India 2023 title winner earned a DQUE gift award of Rs. 1,00,000, and the first and second runners-up each received gift prizes of Rs. 60,000 and Rs. 40,000. The pageant organisers, Pegasus event Production Company is the only company in the nation which exempted the bikini round for the competition. The company has made a unique position for itself in the fashion industry. Miss Queen of India is a pathway to countable international pageants including Miss Asia, Miss Asia Global and Miss Glam World.

Shiju A R(Actor and Model), Archana Ravi (Model and Actress), Ankita Kharat (Model) and Dr Asha Biju (Cosmetologist) were on the judging panel. The winners of the subtitles were selected by a panel of eminent persons. The winners of Miss Queen of India were presented with a gold crown designed by Parakkat Jewelers.

Elegance and Beauty at the Mrs Glam World 2022

The Mrs Glam World 2022, organized by Pegasus and presented by Manappuram DQUE was won by  Zambian beauty Brandina Lubuli along with Dashbaljid Munkhzul from Mongolia as first runner-up and Kripa Dharmaraj from India as second runner-up. The event was marked by the presence of Pegasus Chairman Dr. Ajit Ravi and some eminent personalities including Bibin, MD, Zaya The Infinity Elegance. The Miss Glam World contest winners were crowned by Manappuram Finance Ltd MD and CEO V P Nandakumar.

The beauty contest was conducted on August 27th at Gokulam Convention Centre in Kochi wherein 14 contestants participated from all around the world. Parakkat Jewelers designed a gold crown to be given to the Mrs Glam World winners. The first runner-up and second runner-up each earned gift prizes of Rs 60,000 and Rs 40,000, while the Mrs Glam World 2022 title winner received a DQUE gift reward of Rs 1,00,000.
