Poland Arrests Four in Russian Military Supplies Espionage Probe
Polish authorities have arrested four people suspected of spying for Russian intelligence services and supplying military components to Russia, the Polish Internal Security Agency (ABW) announced on Thursday, November 5, 2026. Two additional suspects have been placed under non-custodial preventive measures over alleged involvement in an organised criminal group.
The six suspects include five Polish nationals aged between 25 and 52 and a 37-year-old Russian woman. According to the ABW, the group allegedly supplied significant quantities of military components to Russia, including materials used in the production of ammunition and weapons systems. Authorities believe the activities were carried out in support of Russian military interests while bypassing strict international embargo restrictions.
The arrests come amid growing concerns over espionage and sabotage activities in Poland. Tomasz Siemoniak, head of Poland’s special services, said around 100 people have been suspected of involvement in such incidents since January 2024. The Russian Embassy did not immediately respond to requests for comment, while the Kremlin has repeatedly denied allegations of conducting sabotage operations in NATO countries.
