The United Kingdom has decided to strengthen the security laws of the country, as a report made by lawmakers has criticized the infrastructure made to defend the country from the threat posed by Russia.

The report says that the government has underestimated the threat posed by the European country of Russia.

As many as twenty-six people have been booked in Belgium and France in an investigative operation triggered by the unnatural deaths of 39 Vietnamese migrants in a lorry in the UK in the year 2019.

Asphyxia and hypothermia are the reason that led to the deaths of the migrants – who were attempting to migrant to the United Kingdom.

The investigation has been carried out with the support of Europol. The police departments in several European nations have offered support to the investigation team.

At least thirteen of the total arrested people has been booked in Belgium, while the rest has been arrested from France.

The arrested people are said to be the members of a infamous network operate in the region to help migrants reach the United Kingdom illicitly.

Some Conservative MPs – especially backbenchers – have demanded the resignation of PM’s chief adviser Dominic Cummings.

The MP has alleged that he, who is a senior official close to the UK Prime Minister’s office, has broken some coronavirus lockdown rules.

He is facing allegations of a second trip to the North East.

Anyway, the UK government has supported Mr. Cummings. Almost all ministers have expressed their support to the UK PM’s advisor.

What that disturbs the UK government is its own MPs has taken a strong stand against the PM’s advisor. The government cannot dismiss this argument as a politically motivated one.

Among those MPs who have questioned the PM’s advisor, there is powerful UK lawmaker Steve Baker.

Notably, Mr. Cummings has not yet responded anything about the allegation yet. He may come up with a defense argument in future, if the allegations leave the government in a difficult situation.

This is not the first time Mr. Cummings has faced an argument of this nature. Earlier, it was accused that he drove 260 miles from London to County Durham with his wife, who had coronavirus symptoms.

Anyway, the Labour Party, the main opposition of the UK’s Conservative Party – which rules the country, has demanded a investigation into both of these allegations.

The European country of United Kingdom has decided to exempt travellers coming from another European country of France from the UK coronavirus quarantine measures announced by the kingdom to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 outbreak.

The measures – intended to prevent the import of the virus from overseas through those travelling to the UK from other countries across the world – has been announced by the UK PM Boris Johnson.

The measures are expected to come into force in the near future itself. Until now, the dates – both the start and the end – for the measures has not been announced by the United Kingdom government.

The same exemption is likely to be extended to those coming from Ireland too, considering the fact that the country shares an inseparable relation with the kingdom.

The exemption may not be applicable to those coming from elsewhere. The UK travel industry has expressed their concern about the mandatory quarantine measures.

The British girl, who was recently handed a suspended sentence by a Cyprus court as it found her guilty of levelling a fake rape allegation against a group of Israeli teenagers, has filed an appeal against the verdict in a court higher to the one which handled her case.

The girl was sent back to her country. She is at present in her country with her family.

Earlier, her lawyer said that she was not denied justice. He asserted that he would appeal against the verdict.

The British girl maintains her allegation that she was raped. She says that she was misled by the Cyprus police – an allegation the said police denied.

Several rights groups have come to the support of the British girl. On the day of the announcement of the verdict, several women –even those from Cyprus – gathered outside the court room to the support of the British girl.

The case has received tremendous International attention. The case has raised serious doubt over the Cyprus laws which deal with the issue of rape and similar sexual abuse related issues.

A legal group alleges that the Cyprus laws which deal with the issues like the aforesaid is not consistent with the standards demand by the European Union and similar International organisations which values human rights more than everything else.
