Russia’s renowned anti-establishment journalist badly hurt by MeToo campaign

The latest series of MeToo campaign has left a renowned Russian journalist, Sergey Prostakov, who is regarded as one of the most powerful anti-establishment journalists based in the European country of Russia, badly hurt.

Around a dozen women has come out strongly against the journalist, alleging that he has inappropriately touched them on a number of occasions, even in the office.

Mr. Prostakov is a well known figure. He has many followers across the country. He is popular for his stern stand against the establishment.

Once, he was the editor of MBKh Media, which was the face of the Russian opposition.

The accused journalist is very close to Mikhail Khodorkovsky, the exiled Russian oligarch who is regarded as the prime opponent of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

It remains unclear whether there is any politics in the allegations levelled against the journalist who is considered as a threat by the Russian autocrat.

Anyway, the journalist has expressed his apology. But, he has declined to accept that he has done some wrongs.
