The Black Lives matter movement, which begun in the North American country of the United States of America, has reached the European country of France.

Recently, tens of thousands of people have assembled in streets across the French capital of Paris to express their protest over the 2016 black man custodial killing.

The death of the black man in the police custody in the year 2016 in France has been likened to the death of a black man in a US state in the recent past.

The protests have defied the measures imposed to curb the spread of the Covid-19 outbreak in the European country of France.

In certain regions where the protesters have gathered to express their anger, some small clashes between the police and protesters have happened.

The Paris police department has distanced itself from the custodial death allegation leveled against them by the protesters.

If the things progress in this direction, the movement may even spread in other countries in the continent of Europe.

Recently, a protest broke out in the United States following the custodial death of an unarmed black man in the country. The protest turned violent when force was used against the protesters.

The European country of the United Kingdom and the North American country of Canada have strongly opposed the suggestion made by the United States of America that Russia should be allowed to reenter the group as a member.

United States President recently announced his plan to postpone the G7 summit until September this year. It was when he addressed a group of media personals to discuss his plan to postpone the summit he expressed his mind about the possible expansion of the G7.

He even called the group an outdated group of countries. He indirectly termed the possible expansion undeniable.

The development has created a rift between the US and those countries which stand with the European liberals.

Recently, Mr. Trump made a telephonic conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin. During the conversation, they discussed the possible reentry of Russia to the G7 – which was formerly G8 (until the ouster of the country from the group following its aggressive attitude).

It remains unclear whether the US will impose pressure over the group to allow the reentry of Russia into the group.

If the rift between the liberal countries increases, it may affect the strength of the liberal political platform.

The removal has marked an end to the nine week lockdown period the country has gone through as part of its fight against the outbreak.

Unfortunately, the sad reality is that the infection rate still remains high.

The country has so far witnessed 4,14,878 infections – which is the third highest number in the world after the US and Brazil. It has also seen as many as 4,855 deaths.

As per a study conducted by an International media house based in the European country of United Kingdom, the demand for abuse imagery has shot up during the lockdown imposed to curb the spread of the Covid-19 outbreak.

The report says that between March and April the demand for obscene material online has almost doubled.

Similar findings have been made by a US based agency, named Centre for Missing and Exploited Children.

What the report indicates is that the issue deserves urgent attention. The issue exposes an unattended area in connection with the lockdown regulation.

It is assumed that it is the drop in site deletions due to the lockdown that contributes to the rise in the obscene material in the online space.

The issue is expected to trigger a serious discussion across the world over the topic. A global investigation, involving several advanced investigative agencies, needs to be launched to fight this issue.

Unfortunately, even before the onset of the outbreak the economies of some countries in the south were at the brink of collapse.

Initially, the countries in the north were not ready to take the burden of the recovery fund developed for the collapsed economies in the south.

It was after it was convinced that if the burden was not shared the economic union in the continent might not survive long.

La République, the political party of French President Emmanuel Macron, has lost its majority in the parliament, as some of its parliamentarians have severed their ties with the party.

The political party, named Ecology, Democracy, Solidarity, is founded by seven MPs from La République en Marche.

The political party enjoys the support of many ex-supporters of the Macon’s political platform.

The new organisation has diluted the strength of the LREM – which once was the most powerful anti-establishment organisation of the country.

Unlike the LREM, the focus of EDS is environment. It is more like a green political party, than a political party like LREM which carries an anti-establishment message.

At present, Mr. Macron’s party only has 288 members in the 577-member lower house of the French parliament – one is one short of the number required to attain a simple majority in the house.

The lost majority does not mean that Mr. Macron has to step down. The ruling government still enjoys the support of some small political parties – which ensures its continuance in the corridor of power.
