Thousands of people took to the streets across Germany on Saturday to protest rising living costs, education underfunding, public spending cuts and compulsory military service. While most demonstrations remained peaceful, violence erupted in Frankfurt, Berlin, Cologne and Hamburg, with protesters clashing with police, smashing shop windows and looting stores. Police used
