Alain Delon: Police seize 72 guns from French film star’s home

French authorities discovered 72 firearms and over 3,000 rounds of ammunition at the residence of iconic actor Alain Delon, located in Douchy-Montcorbon, approximately 135km south of Paris. The actor, renowned for his tough-guy roles in classics like “The Samurai” and “Borsalino,” did not possess the necessary permit to legally own these weapons.

The search was initiated after a court-appointed official observed a firearm at Delon’s home and reported it to a judge. Delon, aged 88, has been in poor health since suffering a stroke in 2019 and is facing family disputes that have garnered public attention. His children have publicly aired grievances, leading to legal battles and accusations.

Concerns arose when his children accused his former live-in assistant of “moral harassment,” a claim that was disputed by the assistant’s lawyer. Delon’s most recent notable appearances include receiving an honorary Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival in 2019 and attending the funeral of his friend and fellow actor Jean-Paul Belmondo in Paris later that year.

Julian Sands: Remains found in California area where British actor disappeared

Human remains were found by hikers near the location where British actor Julian Sands went missing. The San Bernardino County sheriff’s department in southern California announced that the identification of the remains would be completed by next week.

Sands, known for his roles in films such as “A Room With A View” and TV shows like “24” and “Smallville,” disappeared on January 13 while hiking in the San Gabriel Mountains, north of Los Angeles. The 65-year-old actor, originally from Otley, West Yorkshire, went missing in the Baldy Bowl area during inclement weather.

The sheriff’s department confirmed that civilian hikers reported the discovery of the human remains in the Mt Baldy wilderness but did not provide further details.

Sands’s family expressed gratitude to the search teams and coordinators who dedicated their efforts to finding him, and they remembered him as a beloved father, husband, explorer, lover of nature and the arts, and a talented performer.

Demon Headmaster actor Terrence Hardiman dies aged 86

Terrence Hardiman, the actor who played the titular character in the CBBC series The Demon Headmaster, has passed away at the age of 86. His agent confirmed the news and paid tribute to him as a much-loved stage and screen actor. Hardiman’s portrayal of the sinister character terrified a generation of children during the show’s original run from 1996 to 1998.

He made a brief appearance in the reboot of the series in 2019. The Demon Headmaster was based on a series of children’s books by Gillian Cross, and Hardiman’s performance as the hypnotic character, who would say “Look into my eyes,” while removing his dark glasses, left a lasting impression on viewers.

Terrence Hardiman was born in 1937 in east London and studied English at the University of Cambridge, where he developed a passion for acting. He performed with the university’s amateur dramatic club, alongside future stars such as Derek Jacobi.

Hardiman had a successful career in both film and stage, including a touring production of Doctor Faustus with the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in 1968, where he played Mephistophilis. He gained his first major television role in Granada’s Crown Court from 1972 onwards and went on to appear in other popular TV shows such as The Crown, Doctor Who, and Prime Suspect.

Hardiman often played characters of authority, and his other credits include Bergerac, Colditz, Minder, and Secret Army. In Richard Attenborough’s 1982 film, Gandhi, he portrayed former UK Prime Minister Ramsay McDonald. Hardiman is survived by his wife Rowena and two children.

Roger E. Mosley: Magnum P.I. actor dies aged 83 after car crash

The original Magnum P.I. actor Roger E. Mosley, who starred in all eight seasons, passed away at the age of 83. He played Theodore “T.C.” Calvin, Tom Selleck’s character’s friend and a helicopter pilot.

Last week, Mosley passed away as a result of injuries received in an automobile accident in Lynwood, Los Angeles. His death was verified to the Hollywood Reporter by his daughter Ch-a, who had earlier informed fans about the vehicle accident. We could never grieve such a lovely man, she later remarked on Facebook. Any wailing made in his honour would make him angry. It is time to honour the legacy he has left for all of us.

“I love you daddy. You loved me too. My heart is heavy but I am strong. I will care for mommy, your love of almost 60 years. You raised me well and she is in good hands. Rest easy.”

Tina Andrews, a friend of his, tweeted: “What a nice guy and talented actor who had fantastic parties. R.I.P., Roger. We will miss you and how much we loved you.”

Critics liked Mosley’s portrayal of The Midnight Special musician Huddie Ledbetter in the 1976 film Leadbelly.

Additionally, he made cameos in the movies Sweet, Jesus Preacherman, The Mack, Hit Man, The Greatest, and Darktown Strutters.

However, Mosley’s most well-known part was in Magnum P.I., where he appeared in 158 of the show’s 162 episodes from 1980 to 1988.

Dev Patel: Actor breaks up knife fight in Australia

According to his representatives, Dev Patel was successful in stopping a knife fight that broke out earlier this week in Adelaide. The actor, who starred in Slumdog Millionaire, saw the altercation on Monday in Adelaide.

The victim was stabbed in the chest while the two were apparently fighting in the street and a convenience shop. According to a publicist for Patel, the actor “acted on his natural instinct.” The victim of the stabbing is anticipated to live.

Representatives for Dev Patel informed BBC News, “We can confirm that last night in Adelaide, Dev Patel and his pals observed a violent brawl that was already taking place outside of a convenience store.”

“Dev acted on his natural instinct to try and de-escalate the situation and break up the fight. The group was thankfully successful in doing so and they remained on site to ensure that the police and eventually the ambulance arrived.”

According to South Australia Police, officers responded to complaints of a man and woman fighting in the street at around 8.45 p.m. (local time). Before the lady allegedly stabbed the man in the chest, the couple proceeded to argue inside a neighbouring service station where bystanders attempted to break up the fight.

An ambulance officer provided on-site care to a 32-year-old Glengowrie resident before transporting him to the Royal Adelaide Hospital. There are no heroes in this circumstance, and regrettably this particular instance exposes a wider systemic problem of marginalised sections of society not receiving the respect and dignity they deserve.

Patel made his film debut in the British teen drama Skins. He has since gone on to star in such films as The Green Knight, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, and Lion, for which he was nominated for an Oscar.

John Stahl, Game of Thrones Actor, Has Died at the Age of 68

Game of Thrones actor John Stahl has died at the age of 68, according to his agent.In two seasons of the popular HBO fantasy show, the Scottish actor played Rickard Karstark.

He was also known for his role as Inverdarroch in the long-running soap opera Take The High Road. According to his agent, Amanda Fitzalan Howard, he is “an actor of remarkable skill and a stalwart of Scottish theatre.”

During his career, Stahl, who was born in Sauchie, Clackmannanshire, appeared in numerous theatre productions, including appearances at The Royal Shakespeare Company and The National Theatre. Peter May, a Scottish screenwriter, remembered the actor and how he had recently attended his online wedding.

“I am deeply saddened to learn of the death of my old friend, John Stahl,” he said. I wrote a lot of scenes for the character of Inverdarroch in Take The High Road. “I only recently went to his online wedding.” I last saw him in Adelaide, Australia, for a fun reunion. John, rest in peace.”

Ian Rankin, best known for his Inspector Rebus novels, expressed his desire to work with the actor again after he appeared in his play Long Shadows, describing his portrayal as “terrifying and charismatic.” David Greig, a Scottish playwright and theatre director, described him as a “truly great actor” and said the Scottish theatre world will miss him.

Mr. Stahl died on the Isle of Lewis on March 2, leaving behind his wife, Jane Paton.
