Warsaw Airport Reopens After Bomb Threat Forces Emergency Flight Landing

Warsaw-Modlin Airport in Poland resumed operations on November 3 after a bomb threat forced a passenger flight from London to make an unscheduled landing. The aircraft, operated by Polish airline LOT, was inspected by security officials, while passengers and crew members were kept in the arrivals hall pending further instructions. Airport authorities confirmed that flight operations had resumed around midday.

A separate bomb threat was reported on an SAS flight from Copenhagen to Warsaw, which landed safely at Warsaw-Chopin Airport. Passengers disembarked, and security officials completed checks on the aircraft. Polish authorities said the reported threat was not confirmed, although it remained unclear whether the two incidents were connected. Chopin Airport continued normal operations during the investigation.

Similar incidents were also reported elsewhere in Europe. A flight arriving from Israel landed at Sofia Airport in Bulgaria following a bomb threat received through email, prompting counter-terrorism teams to inspect the aircraft. On Monday, a Wizz Air flight travelling from London to Sofia was diverted to Budapest after receiving another bomb threat. The incidents have raised fresh security concerns for European airports and international air travel.
