A British teenager has been found guilty of lying about being gang-raped by a group of Israeli youngsters.

She initially alleged that she was gang-raped by a group of twelve Israeli teenagers when she was in Ayia Napa in Cyprus.

Later, she pulled back her complaint. Actually, she was booked shortly after she pulled back her complaint.

She has been found guilty on a charge of causing public mischief.

She may get at least one year imprisonment. Her lawyers may request for a lenient approach. They may request for a suspended sentence.

The rape allegation created a serious public not only in the UK but also across the entire European continent.

At this moment, it remains unclear why the UK teenager levelled a fake allegation against the group of Israeli teenagers.

The UK teenager, at the time of the withdrawal of the case, said she was forced by the Cypriot police to testify against the group of Israeli teenagers.

That allegation was strongly denounced by the Cypriot police.

Centre-left candidate Alberto Fernandez has won the Argentinean presidential election, defeating his centre-right rival, Mauricio Macri, who is the incumbent president.

The election result proves that the people of the country is unhappy with the economic crisis into which the country has fallen and they have found the promises made by the centre-left, especially on the matter of economy, reliable.

The centre-left leader has won more than forty-five per cent votes.

The result was not that surprising one. The anti-incumbency factor was very high in the state.

Most poll experts have predicted in favour of the regime change.

The regime change is expected to have a serious political impact in the entire Latin American region in the long run.

Argentina is one of the main countries in the region. It has significant influence on many countries in the region.

The regime change indicates the Europe and the US will no longer have free access to the policy making structure of this country.

As many as sixteen people have been awarded death sentence in connection with the infamous Nusrat Jahan Rafi case by a court in Bangladesh.

The court earlier found them guilty of the gruesome murder.

The verdict is the victory of the west. It is the western countries which has imposed pressure to the Asian country to investigate the case in a proper manner.

It is the most brutal crime the country has witnessed in the recent past. Unlike most other cases of similar nature, this case has been fined in a short span of time.

The family members of the victim have welcomed the verdict delivered by the Bangladesh court.

The Nusrat Jahan case is different in many ways. It is her reluctance to withdraw a complaint she levelled against her headmaster that prompted the perpetrators of the crime to kill her by setting her ablaze. She was a brave girl. She stood with the truth till her last breadth. Her death statement was recorded and leaked to media.

The case of Nusrat Jahan spared a wide spread movement in the Asian country – as well as across the world.

Women safety in Bangladesh is a serious issue. It is one of the few countries where the women safety index is very low. 

In a recent survey conducted in the Bangladesh garment industry – which employs a large number of the women population of the country, it was found that at least 80 per cent of the Garment factory workers in the country experienced some forms of sexual harassment at their workplace.

Two Russian youngsters, who was recently arrested on the charge of extremism, has slit their wrist, as their plea for house arrest has been denied by the court, which handles the case against the youngsters.

At this moment, it remains unclear how they have got hold of the sharp weapon that they have used to slit their hands.

Until now, no information about their health has been publicised.

The youngsters is said to be the members of an anarchist organisation. As per a report, there are ten members in the organisation. According to the report, most of them are youngsters.

Anyway, all of them are under custody now.

One of the members of the organisation, a lady, was recently shifted to her home from jail as her health deteriorated under custody.

The parents of the arrested youngsters have denounced the charges against their children. They have called the organisation as a study group.

Interestingly, the only witness in the case is an undercover policeman, who claimed that he managed to infiltrate into the closed circle of the group.

A Spanish court has awarded serious punishment to the political leaders, who led a violent separatist movement in the Spanish region of Catalonia around two years ago.

The punishment has been awarded to nearly nine leaders. Some of them has got thirteen years imprisonment, and the rest has received not less than nine.  

The leaders, including former Catalan Vice-President Oriol Junqueras, have been found guilty of the serious charge of sedition.

The court has acquitted as many as nine other political leaders, who were charged with similar charges including rioting.

All the accused leaders have pleaded not guilty to the charges levelled against them by the Spanish government.

The court has lent its ears to most of those pleas. In the case of the convicted leaders, the court has found the grounds, on which the charges against them have been erected, relevant.

The Catalan referendum movement is the most powerful political movement the European country of Spain has witnessed in its recent history.

Meanwhile, tens of thousands of people have gathered in all major Catalonian cities, including Barcelona, to express their solidarity with the independence leaders of the region ahead of the controversial verdict, which has shacked the heart of many Catalonians, mostly those in favour of the separatist movement.

The Syrian Kurds, who recently suffered serious attacks from Turkey, has joined their hands with the Syrian government, which was not in a good relation with them during the years of war, to fight Istanbul, which lately launched a deadly offence against the Kurds in the northern region of the embattled country in the pretext of creating a Safe Zone for the Syrian refugees, who fled their country during the years of war.

Political observers see the development as positive. They say that it would give a huge impetus to the peace building process launched in the war-affected country of Syria.

The Syrian Kurds recently alleged that the US, which was hugely supported by them during its war against the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, betrayed them.

The US pulled back its forces from Syria just before Turkey launched an offensive along the Syrian northern border region.

The US and the west are definitely unhappy with Turkey’s action. The superpowers have threatened Turkey with economic sanction.

But, the superpowers have so far done nothing concrete to stop Turkey from going ahead with its war plans.

A Kurdish leader says that his community’s decision to join hands with the Syrian government is an inevitable move. He adds if he is asked to choose between a compromise and a genocide he would choose the latter for the good of his people.

Romanian Prime Minister Viorica Dancila has failed to survive the non-confidence motion initiated against her in the parliament.

Her failure has happened after several dramatic events. The non-confidence motion has secured just five votes more than what is necessary to pass the motion.

The Romanian parliament has as many as 465 members. The PM party does not enjoy a clear majority in the parliament; Ms Dancila’s government was reduced to a minority government when her key ally ditched

The ousted Prime Minister is the fourth PM the country has witnessed in the short span of three or less years.

The country is going to witness a crucial presidential election in few weeks. The latest fall of Ms Dancila’s party is likely to have a huge impact on the outcome of the presidential election.

Romania is under the clutches of political instability since the fall of several political leaders in a serious of corruption scandals.
