A German regional minister has faced serious criticism for his alleged connection with a suspected member of a far-rightist organisation.

The allegation against the regional minister is that he has purchased a gun from the suspected far-rightist activist.

The criticism has intensified when he has tried to lighten the heat of the criticism by saying that the purchase was a personal matter.

The incident is the main talk in social media platforms based in the region. Media houses have covered the story aggressively. Some have even exceeded its limits to portray the regional minister as a far-rightist sympathiser.

The minister has admitted of purchasing the gun. But he has refused to accept his alleged link, and dismissed it as baseless.

He has filed his resignation. In the statement he has released at the time he has submitted his resignation, the minister has portrayed his resignation as a sacrifice he has made for his family.

The minister has criticised the media for twisting the facts.

Notably, the development has happened at the time the country was trying to enfeeble the threat posed by the far-rightist activism.

The far-rightist activism is the biggest threat the European superpower of Germany faces at this juncture.

Pascha, one of largest brothels of Europe, has filed for bankruptcy, as the Covid-19 restrictions have made it impossible for the brothel to function.

Pascha is a very popular landmark in the city of Cologne. While speaking to media personals, an officer of the brothel has said that the business is at an end.

Prostitution has been outlawed in North Rhine-Westphalia – where the city is located – since the outbreak of the virus.

The organisation employs 120 prostitutes and 60 staffs including cooks and hair dressers.

The officer has criticised the government handling of the pandemic.

It is high time for the government to confront these kinds of problems. It is unfortunate that the government has done little to address the concerns raised by those involved in this business.

It is not fair to keep a deaf ear at those who are dependent on this business for their living.

In contrary to the view made by Russian doctors on the reason why Russian President Vladimir Putin’s critic Alexei Navalny fell unconscious during an domestic flight trip, German doctors – who are treating him since he was brought to the country from Russia at the request of his supporters across the world – have detected the presence of poisonous substance in his body, paving way for a new discussion around how Russia handle its critics.

Mr. Navalny has not yet recovered from the injury. He is still in coma. The doctors are yet to launch a detailed report on his present heath condition.

The critic is a most powerful opponent of Mr. Putin. It is not the first time he has been subjected to this kind of attack. Several times in the past too, he has suffered this kind of attack.

Anyway, the attack has belittled Russia. It has inflicted an irreparable damage over the image of Russia.

It is not a surprise that Russia has gone this far to attack its rival. The country is known for its intolerance towards its critics.

It is unfortunate that a country like Russia has failed to protect the values it has uphold for generations.

It indicates that Russia has fallen completely under the clutches of autocracy.

Notably, the details of the meeting have not been publicised. It has been reported that the disagreement has emerged in relation to the contents of the agreement.

For Namibia, it is a very sentimental issue. For Germany, it is an attempt to heal the wound.

As per the claim made by Namibia, only twenty-five per cent of the total population of the Herero community of the country survived the brutal suppression launched against the anti-colonial movement by Germany. And, the Nama population was halved likewise, according to the country.

Germany was once one of the most aggressive nations in the world. It was its aggressive nature that led to the disastrous World War Two.

The post-World War Two Germany is a peaceful version of Germany. In order to keep the country in that state, many concisions have been offered to this country.

It is pertinent to prevent Germany from going back to its old state in order to make sure Europe does not lose its peacefulness.

It seems that some western countries do not understand why the European country has been given these many concisions.

The US has been irritating Germany for the last few years. It has warned Germany with the withdrawal of US troops for its failure to meet its obligation on NATO spending.

It is not wrong to pressurize a member country to respect the agreement it has reached as part of the NATO agreement.

It is absolutely irresponsible to argue that the US alone should shoulder the financial obligation of the NATO – which is a force working for the developed world.

But, it is objectionable to behave in a way that the US is a dominant force and the rest of the countries in the NATO are the subordinate powers or satellite powers of the dominant power. That attitude reflects the satellite concept of the erstwhile USSR – which miserably collapsed during the 1990s.

The decision to withdraw 12,000 troops from Germany taken by the US is an irresponsible act born out of the aforesaid attitude the US has accidentally acquired.

The new decision may encourage Germany to strengthen its army – the move the majority of the European countries are afraid of.

It may even give impetus to the creation of the European Army – which France has been pushing for long.

Germany, though is a liberal country at present, may fall under the clutches of far-rightists any moment. In the previous election, the far-rightist faction has shown its clout.

There is nothing more dangerous than paving way for the creation of a heavily-militarized Germany under the control of far-rightist leaders.

It is important not to forget the NAZI Germany.

As many as ten men, mostly Syrian refugees, have been found guilty in the German nightclub case, which sparked an anti-refugee sentiment in the country.

The lead defendant was awarded a tough punishment of five-year imprisonment. Aroud seven others have been given four-year imprisonment each.

The rest two men has received suspended sentences.

Notably, one person who was arrested in connection with the case was acquitted, as the prosecution has failed to prove the charges against the accused.

Germany was initially welcoming towards migrants. It was the first western country which opened up its borders wholeheartedly towards migrants.

But, the incident overturned everything. It turned a section of population of the country against the idea of allowing refugees inside the country.

The far-rightist politicized the entire incident. It achieved serious political gain from the development. It reflected in the election recently held in the European country of Germany.
