A tough ban on protest has failed to prevent protesters from taking to streets in the European country of Belarus.

Over tens of thousands of people have taken part in a protest organised to express their disagreement towards the election – which has reaffirmed the president’s claim for the seat.

Protesters allege that the election was not done in a free and fair manner. They demand the resignation of the President – who has been sitting in the seat of power of the ex-Soviet satellite since the year 1994.

Meanwhile, the President – who has reaffirmed his claim for the seat through the election – has vowed to suppress the protest. He has dismissed the protest as the one born with the blessings of foreign forces.

Belarus is a very powerful European power. It is at present, in a way, a satellite country of Russia. It, thus, does not have a good relation with its neighbours who consider Russia as a threat to their sovereignty.

Recently, Amnesty International revealed that those who were arrested in connection with the protest in Belarus were brutally tortured in prisons. As per a report, some protesters were even threated with rape.

Andrzej Duda, the incumbent President of the European country of Poland, has won the Presidential Election, defeating his nearest rival, Rafal Trzaskowski, with a narrow majority.

The President has wristed around 51.2 per cent of the total number of votes casted in the Presidential Election.

It is the toughest competition the country has witnessed since the collapse of the communist rule in the early 1990s.

The victory of Mr. Duda has many political implications. It has strengthened the position of the conservative faction.

The person whom the incumbent President has defeated in the Presidential Election, is a member of the liberal faction.

The victory of the conservative leader may reflect in the future of the relation between the European country of Poland and the most powerful economic union of the European Union.

The narrowness of the victory margin proves that the political clout of the liberal faction is increasing in the country and may topple the dominance of the conservative faction any moment.

Mr. Duda’s retention of the seat of President is a great relief to the conservative parliamentarians.

Now, the EU Commission is free to impose fines over these countries for the crimes they have committed by disrespecting the EU law.

The Supreme Court of the European country of Poland has expressed its concerns about the recently proposed judicial reforms of the government.

The court has warned the Polish government of serious consequences. It said if the proposal was implemented the country would have to leave the European Union.

Meanwhile, the Polish government has dismissed the concerns raised by the top court of the country. It said the country’s judicial system had not yet recovered fully from its communist hangover.

The polish government has justified the proposed judicial reforms as an effort to help the judicial system to recover completely from its communist hangover.

The European country of Poland was under the clutches of communism for several years in the past.

The present government is of the opinion that the country has not yet recovered fully from the clutches of the communist hangover.

The EU has not yet responded to the issue. No European superpower has commented on the issue either.

The confrontation between the Polish government and its judicial system is not a new thing. Since the induction of the present government, it is in a bad relation with the country’s judicial system.

The new proposal allows the government to push with serious punishment including dismissal those judges who, the government thinks, intervenes in the politics of the country.

The Polish government has expressed its dissatisfaction against a documentary released by digital content giant Netflix.

What that the aforesaid documentary discusses is the sensitive story of Nazi death camps.

The Polish government has criticised the digital giant of misrepresenting certain facts about the Nazi occupation in Poland.

The government has opposed the portrayal of the issue in the manner that Poland was also responsible to what happened to those admitted in the Nazi death camps during the Second World War.

Poland has criticised the digital giant of not highlighting the fact that Poland was annexed by Germany prior to the erection of the death camps in Auschwitz.

The digital giant has not yet given an elaborate statement on the issue. Yet, it has acknowledged the awareness of the concerns raised by Poland. And, it has assured of taking serious actions to address the crisis.

This is not the first time a Netflix documentary has invited criticism; earlier, a Netflix documentary about OSHO attracted similar allegation of misrepresentation.

At this moment, it remains unclear whether the Polish government would take any serious action against the digital content giant in this matter.

Netflix has tens of thousands of customers in Poland. So, it cannot handle this issue as insensitively as it handled the OSHO issue.
