The European country of Russia has promised to take a neutral stand on the ongoing crisis in connection with the Nagorno-Karabakh region.
Recently, Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that as many as 5,000 people have lost their lives in the ongoing conflict seeking the ownership of the region.
The figure brought out by Russia is inconsistent with the figure brought out by the countries which are fighting with each other for the dominance in the said region.
Russia has also expressed its disagreement with the decision of Turkey to offer its support to Azerbaijan, which is engaging in a brutal fight with Armenia for the region.
The disputed region, though is internationally recognized as the part of Azerbaijan, is at present controlled by Armenia.
Russia has appealed for the intervention of the United Nations in the crisis.
It is high time to find a solution to the crisis.
