A visionary entrepreneur’s journey from Kerala’s heartland to building one of the Middle East’s most dynamic power technology brands

In a world driven by innovation and the constant pursuit of progress, few leaders manage to balance business success with human purpose quite like Dr. Siddeek Ahmed, Chairman and Managing Director of ERAM Holdings. From a modest beginning in Kerala, India to leading a multi-billion-dollar conglomerate with over 40+ businesses across 9 verticals and operating in 16 countries, Dr. Siddeek’s story is not just about corporate growth — it’s about vision, resilience, and the power of believing that technology and humanity can progress hand in hand. He is also a passionate philanthropist, treating this facet of his life with the same dedication and drive that fuel his business pursuits.

At the heart of this empire lies one of his most remarkable achievements – ERAM Power Electronics Company (EPEC) – a name that has quietly, yet powerfully, revolutionised the energy landscape across the Middle East, Africa & South Asia.

The Genesis of a Powerhouse

It all began with a conviction. When Dr. Siddeek blended entrepreneurial foresight and industrial excellence to establish ERAM Group in 1990’s, he wasn’t merely building another conglomerate; he was laying the foundation for a group that would merge innovation with impact. Over the years, the Group diversified into sectors such as Human Capital Management, Travel & Tourism, Automotive Dealerships, Manufacturing Research & Development, Healthcare Services, Industrial Support Services, Real Estate & Investments, Information Technology and Training & Skills Development; each contributing to his larger vision of localised excellence and global reach. Today, this legacy has evolved into ERAM Holdings, a globally respected organization driven by purpose, progress and transformative vision becoming a multi-billion-dollar enterprise.

However, 2011 marked a pivotal year. Driven by the desire to reduce dependency on imported technology and strengthen the Middle East’s self-reliance, Dr. Siddeek founded ERAM Power Electronics Company (EPEC) in Saudi Arabia, a company formerly known as, Arabian Power Electronics Company.

What began as a regional initiative soon became a symbol of reliability and engineering mastery. “Our goal was clear – to create capability, not dependency,” he often says. “EPEC represents our belief that the future of energy lies in designing smarter, more resilient solutions for an evolving world.”

Today, EPEC is not just a company, it’s an ecosystem of innovation. Its technologies power key sectors, including oil and gas facilities, airports, telecom networks, and utility services. EPEC’s products stand the test of time and terrain.

The brand stands out for its strong market presence, customer-centric approach, and commitment to delivering industry-leading service standards.

Driving Skill Development and Women Empowerment

Complementing his contributions to the automotive sector, Dr. Siddeek has championed several impactful skill development initiatives aimed at empowering youth and women across Kerala.

A notable example is the ‘Naari Chakra’ program, launched in collaboration with ASAP Kerala, ERAM Technologies, and Mahindra & Mahindra. This pioneering 60-day training initiative, inaugurated by Kerala’s Higher Education Minister Dr. R. Bindu, equips women aged 18–35 with specialized automotive skills and ensures 100% placement. The program represents a major step forward in fostering gender inclusion and creating new opportunities in the auto industry.

Healing Lives: Dar As Sihha Medical Center (KSA)

Under the leadership of Dr. Siddeek’s son, Rizwan Ahamed, Vice Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of ERAM Holdings, Dar As Sihha Medical Center stands as one of the region’s largest healthcare networks. With clinics in Dammam & Al Khobar, it caters to over 1,500 – 2,000 outpatients daily, supported by 350 – 400 health care professionals. Dar As Sihha is an approved training center accredited by the Saudi Heart Association and the American Heart Association to provide First Aid/Heart Saver training and Basic Life Support training. What sets Dar As Sihha apart is its specialised license to operate remote site medical units in critical oil & gas zones – a privilege held by very few institutions, including those approved by Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare accredited medical centres. These units include doctors, paramedics, ambulances, pharmacies, medical equipment and supplies, medical waste disposal services, and remote area clinic audit services, ensuring comprehensive on-site healthcare for industrial sectors across Saudi Arabia.

Engineering Trust: A Legacy of Quality

Every EPEC product is a promise – designed to deliver uninterrupted power, tested to withstand real-world extremes, and certified to international standards. The company’s ISO 17025-accredited laboratory ensures each system meets rigorous performance criteria before it ever reaches a client site.

Whether it’s a UPS in a hospital or a converter in a fighter jet hangar, failure is not an option. ‘Reliability is our DNA,’ says Jacob Thomas, CEO of ERAM Power Electronics. “At EPEC, we engineer not just power systems, but trust. Every circuit, every wire, every weld reflects a commitment to perfection. Our vision is to redefine what uninterrupted power means, empowering industries, defense, and infrastructure to operate without limits.”

That commitment has earned EPEC partnerships and projects across Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait, India and Africa, firmly establishing it as a global name in intelligent power solutions.

A Global Vision Anchored in Local Values

Beyond business success, what makes ERAM Holdings truly extraordinary is its commitment to people – a principle that Dr. Siddeek carries deeply.

Aligned with Saudi Vision 2030, India’s ‘Make in India’ initiative, and the UAE’s National ICV Programme, ERAM Holdings’ core philosophy is simple yet powerful – “localisation with global excellence.”

This vision has led to the creation of over 12,000 jobs across 20 nationalities and established manufacturing and training facilities that strengthen local economies. ERAM’s ventures are not just profit-driven, they are purpose-driven.

Empowering Minds: The ERAM Skill Academy (India)

Back in his home state of Kerala, Dr. Siddeek’s vision takes a more human form through the ERAM Skill Academy – a world-class technical training institution designed to bridge the gap between education and employability.

Recognised as a Centre of Excellence by the Kerala Academy for Skills Excellence (KASE) and accredited by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), ERAM Skill Academy is a premier institution in advanced technical training, further strengthened by certifications from the STED Council and CPD (UK) that ensure global standards in vocational education.

It is also aligned with Saudi Arabia’s approved Skill Verification Program (SVP), offering internationally recognised certifications that strengthen employability and support career advancement. The Academy’s social impact is profound—reaching communities that need support the most. Through government partnerships, it provides free and subsidised training programs, helping underprivileged youth build sustainable livelihoods.

For Dr. Siddeek, this initiative is all about empowerment. “Empowerment starts with opportunity,” he says. “When one person gains a skill, a family gains stability. When communities gain skills, nations thrive.”

The WHO Collaboration: Saving Lives through Skills

Furthering his mission of empowerment, Dr. Siddeek has expanded his charitable initiatives into the field of health education. Through the ERAM Educational & Welfare Trust, in collaboration with the WHO Collaborating Centre for Emergency & Trauma Care (WHO CCET) at AIIMS, New Delhi, the Trust launched SATYAM (Student Augmented Training for Youth Amplification)—a transformative programme designed to equip students with essential first aid, CPR, and emergency response skills. By enabling young people to act confidently during time-critical situations, SATYAM plays a key role in building safer, more resilient communities.

The pilot programme conducted in Kanjikode, Palakkad, successfully trained over 200 students from tribal and local schools, all of whom received certificates bearing the WHO logo. This initiative strengthens community health and emergency preparedness across Kerala, while directly contributing to global development priorities. It supports SDG 3 by helping reduce preventable deaths through timely first response, reinforces SDG 11 by fostering emergency-ready and safer communities, and advances SDG 17 through strong local partnerships that enable sustainable impact. In simple words, we empower citizens to save lives.

Foodco Delicacies India Pvt. Ltd.: Whetting the Palate

Established in 2005 in Kerala, Foodco Delicacies India Pvt. Ltd., a venture of ERAM Holdings, is a multifaceted exporter of frozen foods, vegetables & seafood, and ready-toeat Indian ethnic delicacies. With coveted certifications – including FDA, and European Union licenses – the company exports premium products to markets in America, Europe and Asia, aiming at becoming one of India’s most trusted food exporters.

Healing the Earth: The Water Warrior of Palakkad

Beyond boardrooms and factories, Dr. Siddeek’s compassion flows into the rivers and wells of his homeland. In Palakkad, Kerala, he has led large-scale water conservation projects that have transformed thousands of lives.

When the Bharathappuzha River (Nila) – Kerala’s second-longest, began drying up, Dr. Siddeek stepped in. Under his leadership, ERAM Holdings replaced damaged river shutters with durable iron structures, renovated 100+ wells, and revived 141 ponds across five rural governing bodies.

The results were dramatic: improved irrigation for farmers, restored groundwater, and rejuvenated ecosystems. Over 5,000 families benefited directly.

The initiative, executed with Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) and local communities, has become a model for sustainable CSR in India. His campaign, ‘Save Water, Save Earth’ now inspires environmental efforts across the region.

ERAM Holdings even produced a documentary, ‘H2O – Human to Ocean’, which is being screened in educational institutions to raise awareness about water conservation among youth.

The Man Behind the Mission

Despite the scale of his empire, Dr. Siddeek remains grounded in humility. A graduate of the Owner / President Management Program at Harvard Business School, he combines academic precision with intuitive leadership.

He serves as Co-Chair of the FICCI Arab Council, representing India on global economic platforms. He has been honoured with the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award (2021)—the highest recognition for overseas Indians—and consistently features among Forbes Middle East’s Top 20 Business Leaders in the Arab World.

His relentless determination and commitment to social upliftment continue to earn him global recognition. Yet, those who know him describe him as a listener first, leader second. His leadership philosophy revolves around trust, empowerment, and authenticity. “A true leader,” he says, “is one who builds more leaders.”

He attributes much of his strength to his family, his spouse, Nushaiba, and their three children Rizana Mariyam, Rizwi Mariyam & Rizwan Ahamed – who continue to inspire his sense of balance between ambition & empathy.

Dr. Siddeek’s dedication to education extends through five institutions nurturing over 3,000 students, including Mariyumma Memorial Public School, Higher Secondary School, Teachers Training Institute and ERAM Academy for Sports and Excellence (EASE). These schools embody his vision of holistic education that shapes both intellect and character. Named in memory of his late mother, Mariyumma, they stand as a lasting tribute to his roots and values.

The Road Ahead

As the world races toward renewable energy and intelligent automation, ERAM Power Electronics is poised for exponential growth. Its upcoming innovations include next-generation converters based on cutting-edge semiconductor materials.

ERAM Power Electronics continues to strengthen its culture of unity and shared purpose through flagship events like the Annual Day & Power Conference 2025. The gathering celebrates teamwork, innovation and collective achievements under the theme ‘One Team, One Energy’. Such events embody the company’s commitment to fostering collaboration and recognising the people who power its growth.

EPEC also plans to expand manufacturing and integration facilities in India to cater to the South Asian market, while continuing to strengthen its GCC operations. The company also envisions new collaborations in defense and aerospace – further cementing its reputation as a trusted energy partner worldwide.

For Dr. Siddeek, however, the destination is not dominance but difference. “Our goal is not just to create technology, but to create capability,” he says. “To empower nations, industries and communities through innovation and reliability.”

In a world that often measures success in profits, Dr. Siddeek measures it in progress – in the youth trained, the rivers revived and the power systems that keep the world moving.

A Legacy of Purpose

From a small town in Kerala to the global stage, Dr. Siddeek Ahmed’s journey is a masterclass in leadership – not the loud, commanding kind, but the purposeful, compassionate kind that quietly changes lives.

ERAM Power Electronics may deal in energy systems, but its true strength lies in something far more powerful – human energy – the belief that progress is meaningful only when it uplifts people and preserves the planet.

And as the lights of EPEC’s innovation glow across continents, one truth shines brighter than ever: Real power isn’t in what you create, it’s in how many lives it empowers.

Bollywood is a realm of grandeur, vibrant characters, and stories crafted to entertain, move, and inspire audiences. Yet, amid this dazzling world, few artists choose to turn away from the spotlight in search of something deeper—something spiritual. Dr. Iqbal Durrani, the celebrated filmmaker behind hits like Phool Aur Kaante, is one such rare visionary. Over six years, he stepped away from the film sets and the dazzle of fame, not to chase another box-office hit, but to embark on a profound spiritual journey—translating the ancient Samaveda into Hindi and Urdu.

This remarkable pursuit goes beyond scholarship; it is a mission of unity, compassion, and rediscovery of timeless wisdom. Through his work, Durrani reveals that storytelling’s true power lies not just in cinema, but in its ability to illuminate the human spirit and bridge the divides of culture and faith.

Voices Beyond Boundaries

The Samaveda, revered as the “Veda of Melodies,” is one of the cornerstones of Hindu spiritual heritage. More than a collection of hymns, it is a text that weaves rhythm, devotion, and philosophy into an ancient musical tapestry. Translating such a scripture demands sensitivity to both its linguistic complexity and its sacred resonance.

In an unprecedented move, filmmaker and scholar Dr. Iqbal Durrani translated the Samaveda into Hindi and Urdu—two languages symbolizing India’s diverse spiritual legacy. “I wanted its wisdom to reach every heart,” Durrani said. “The Samaveda is not bound by faith; its music unites us in the language of the soul.”

A Journey of Dedication

For someone accustomed to the fast-paced world of Bollywood, six years of immersion in ancient texts is no small commitment. The process required meticulous study, self-discipline, introspection, and considerable personal sacrifice. Financial constraints and doubts were constant companions. Yet, Durrani remained steadfast, guided by an unwavering sense of purpose.

“There were times when I questioned if I could continue,” he admits. “But there was an internal calling, a sense of destiny. It felt less like a choice and more like a sacred duty.”

His mission is reminiscent of the Mughal prince Dara Shikoh, who centuries ago sought to bridge religious divides by translating the Upanishads and Vedic texts into Persian. Durrani sees himself as a modern torchbearer of that vision, using the Samaveda to promote understanding, harmony, and a shared spiritual heritage. Dr. Iqbal Durrani realized the dream that Dara Shikoh was prevented from completing under Shah Jahan’s rule—a feat accomplished during the tenure of Vishwa Guru Narendra Modi.

Translating Beyond Words
Translation is never a simple act of converting words from one language to another. It is, at its core, an interpretive art. Durrani’s work ensures that the essence of the Samaveda—the spirit of its verses, the beauty of its chants, and the depth of its wisdom—is not lost to contemporary readers. It is about making the ancient accessible, relevant, and resonant for a world that is often fractured by misunderstanding and division.

“The Samaveda teaches us about the harmony of life, the interconnectedness of all beings,” Durrani says. “My aim was to preserve that essence while making it understandable and meaningful for today’s readers.”

A Launch that Spoke Volumes

The launch of Durrani’s Hindi and Urdu translations of the Samaveda was more than a book release; it was a powerful statement. Held at the historic Red Fort, a symbol of India’s rich and syncretic past, the event drew attention from diverse quarters. Attendees included RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat, prominent Muslim clerics, and Bollywood personalities, highlighting the potential of the Samaveda to act as a bridge across faiths and communities.
“This gathering was a testament to what I believe,” Durrani reflects. “It showed me that beneath superficial differences, people are yearning for connection, for shared humanity. The Samaveda, with its emphasis on universal truths, can serve as a catalyst for harmony.”

Media coverage, particularly by Zee News, acknowledged the significance of the event. It went beyond religious discourse to underscore the idea of shared cultural heritage, demonstrating how literature and art can foster dialogue, understanding, and unity.

From Cinematic Storytelling to Spiritual Narratives

Before embarking on this spiritual journey, Durrani was a familiar face in Bollywood. He had directed and produced numerous commercial hits, occasionally acting in villainous roles within his own films. These experiences, rather than being a distraction, equipped him with a unique perspective. Understanding human motivations, crafting compelling narratives, and connecting with audiences are skills honed in the cinematic world—skills that have enriched his work on the Samaveda.

“My film career taught me the power of storytelling,” Durrani explains. “It taught me how to reach people’s hearts and minds. This project, in a way, is the most important story I’ve ever tried to tell.”

In many ways, Durrani’s translation project is a continuation of his cinematic work: telling a story, evoking emotion, and touching lives. The only difference is the medium—where once he worked with reels and scripts, now he works with Sanskrit verses, melodies, and translations that speak directly to the human soul.

Transcending Boundaries With the Samaveda

Durrani’s project emerges at a moment when divisions often dominate public discourse. By interpreting the Samaveda for a wider audience, he offers a vision of inclusion, showing that even ancient texts can act as pathways toward understanding and cooperation.

“Whenever I witness people from varying backgrounds drawn together by this book, it reaffirms my purpose,” Durrani shares. “Our spiritual roots are shared, and embracing this truth can cultivate connection, empathy, and unity across communities.”

Recognition and Legacy

The India Book of Records has recognised Durrani as the first individual to translate the Samaveda into both Hindi and Urdu in a single publication—a landmark achievement. His work is now available through resources like Awaz – The Voice and the India Book of Records, making this ancient wisdom accessible to modern readers and inspiring cross-cultural dialogue.

His literary contributions also include “Gandhi se Pehle Gandhi”, an inspiring book that sheds light on the life of Birsa Munda, often referred to as “Gandhi before Gandhi” for his revolutionary role. The book details the struggle, bravery, and national pride of this great tribal leader who led an impactful movement against the exploitation of the British Raj and local landlords. It seeks to bring his significant contribution to the freedom struggle into the mainstream national narrative. The book was launched by the President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu.

In addition to his scholarly pursuits, Durrani continues to work in the world of cinema. He is collaborating with Mukesh Khanna on an ambitious new film, Baba Jaan, which explores the unconventional love story between an elderly Muslim man and a sacred cow. This project, much like his translation work, reflects Durrani’s commitment to telling stories that challenge societal norms, promote understanding, and explore shared humanity.

A Life Transformed

Dr. Iqbal Durrani’s journey from Bollywood director to spiritual bridge-builder exemplifies personal transformation at its most profound. It is a journey from the pursuit of commercial success to the pursuit of enlightenment, empathy, and social harmony. His work on the Samaveda is not the conclusion of his story but the beginning of a larger mission: demonstrating that understanding, compassion, and unity are attainable when we reach beyond superficial differences and embrace our shared heritage.

In an era where differences often dominate headlines, Durrani offers a different narrative—a melody from the past, translated for the present, and designed to harmonise the future. His unscripted journey is a reminder that the most impactful stories are sometimes those that transcend the screen and resonate directly with the human spirit.

Through his cinematic vision and spiritual endeavour, Dr Iqbal Durrani proves that legacy is not just measured by box-office hits but by the lives touched, the minds opened, and the hearts inspired. In translating the Samaveda for a modern world, he has written a story that transcends language, religion, and culture—a story of unity, understanding, and the enduring power of human connection.

The Samaveda Today

The Samaveda remains one of the four primary Vedas, revered for its hymns and melodies. Durrani’s translation brings this ancient wisdom into contemporary relevance, emphasising harmony, interconnectedness, and the universal truths that bind humanity. As readers engage with this work, they are not just reading a text; they are participating in a cultural dialogue that spans centuries and faiths, fostering understanding in a world that deeply needs it.

Through his dedication, sacrifice, and vision, Dr. Iqbal Durrani has shown that stories—whether on screen or on paper—have the power to transform society. And in his hands, the melodies of the Samaveda have found a voice that resonates far beyond their ancient origins, touching the hearts of all who seek connection, understanding, and unity.

The Pillars of Bharat
We talk often of India’s greatness, but true greatness rests on the foundation of its institutions—the four pillars that uphold our republic. A nation is only as strong as the integrity of these systems. Today, we need to hold a mirror to each of them and ask: Is the mortar holding these bricks still strong with Dharma (righteousness), or is it crumbling under Swaarth (self-interest)?

The Administration (The Iron Frame)

The bureaucracy, the “iron frame” of India, is meant to be the tireless servant of the people. It is the bridge between policy and the common citizen. But too often, this frame has rusted. The ideal of the impartial administrator—dedicated, non-political, and focused solely on execution—is often betrayed by red tape, inefficiency, and corruption. The focus has shifted from seva (service) to satta (power). We need officers whose loyalty is to the law and the public, not to the passing political masters.

An impact assessment reveals that the majority of people come to AIIMS Delhi due to its reputation for specialised, high-quality, and low-cost care, which is often unavailable in other parts of the country. This influx from across India and neighbouring countries strains the hospital’s infrastructure and resources, creating long waiting times despite the opening of new regional AIIMS. There is an urgent need to create and provide a similar infrastructure that matches the standards and infrastructure in Delhi, including the human capital. There is no dearth of talented doctors in India who need to be retained within India by offering incentives to match International standards to make India a health tourism destination for the world

The Political System (The Will of the People)

Politics is the heart of democracy, where the nation’s vision is debated and forged. Yet, the raajneeti (politics) of today seems polluted by opportunism. Where are the leaders who exemplify genuine sacrifice and vision? When the electoral process becomes a marketplace where principles are exchanged for power, the entire national character is diluted. The true role of the political class is to inspire collective loyalty and foster unity, not to deepen divisions for short-term electoral gain.

The Judicial System (The Scale of Justice)

The judiciary is the final conscience of the nation—the temple where the scales of justice must always remain perfectly balanced. It is meant to be the unwavering shield against executive and legislative overreach. When the common person seeks justice, they must find quick, impartial resolution, without delay or prejudice. Any hint of compromise, influence, or massive backlog undermines the public’s faith in the very concept of Rule of Law. For a society to thrive, the pursuit of truth must be swift and absolute in the courts.

The Banyan Tree of Justice

“The Banyan tree first grows toward the sky, and then its roots return to the earth. This is why the Banyan is called a Rishi (a sage or wise one).

Our nation’s law (judicial system) has been growing toward the heights, and I sincerely hope its roots will also return to the earth like the Banyan, ensuring that justice can be delivered to the common man.”

Journalism (The Fourth Estate)

The press, or the ‘Fourth Estate,’ is entrusted with the sacred duty of holding power accountable and speaking the truth fearlessly. It is meant to be the voice of the voiceless, shining a light on darkness. But today, the glare of sensationalism often overshadows the light of truth. When the media becomes an instrument of partisan politics or commercial interest, it ceases to be a pillar of democracy and becomes a tool of propaganda. The nation needs fearless reporters, not just loud anchors—those who serve the truth, not their owners or sponsors.

“Journalism is not what is shown, but what needs to be shown or written about—the things that are often hidden from the public.”

Step in, master,
This, here, is a bazaar of flesh.
Chest…
Throat…
Limbs…
Thighs…
Pick your cut, it’s here for the taking.
But heed this one decree:
Come soaked in liquor’s numb embrace.
Or else, when night’s feast is served,
And “morsels” are heaped upon your plate,
You might see “daughters” staring back.

It happened to me once…
My own blood, torn from my womb,
My son,
Slunk to my door.
Fate was kind—he saw the truth,
The cord that bound us,
And fled into the dark.

But these…
Whose spawn are they?
Defiling, clawing,
Ravaging
Their own “Mother India”!!

His creative mind didn’t stop there – the innovative ‘Topless Ship’ design and the groundbreaking ‘Solar AC Bed’ further showcased his ability to merge eco-consciousness with practical innovation. But his most profound impact on the maritime industry came through an ambitious global initiative: the transformation of over 4000+ vessels into ‘Green Ships.’ This monumental achievement not only set a world record but also sparked a revolution in sustainable shipping practices. At the core of Aries Group lies his transformative ‘Green Vision’ – an extraordinary step of dedicating a quarter of its total workforce hours specifically to ‘green’ initiatives.

His company is at the vanguard of maritime innovation, pioneering advances in energy efficiency, exploring cutting-edge alternate propulsion systems, and leading the charge in developing low and zero-carbon fuel technologies. What sets this vision apart is his commitment to progress over profit – the group regularly undertakes pilot projects and concept studies on a zero-profit basis, prioritising environmental impact over financial gain.

Tryst with Celluloid

Roy began to be noticed in the entertainment world after he directed “DAM999” which made history as India’s first mainstream Oscar-qualified movie. But his vision for cinema extends far beyond personal achievement. Over the past decade, he has emerged as a pivotal figure in bridging Indian cinema with global recognition, guiding 47+ Indian feature films and documentaries to the prestigious Academy Awards (Oscars). His ambitious US$10 billion, Project Indywood proved to be a turning point for the entire Indian Film Industry. Under Roy’s leadership, a series of groundbreaking facilities emerged: Aries Plex, India’s first dual 4K projection theatre, and Aries Vismayas Max, Kerala’s pioneering ATMOS sound mixing studio, and the country’s first integrated dubbing system. He also launched the first International Film Magazine dedicated to coverage of the Oscars, Cannes, and American Film Market, creating new pathways for Indian cinema’s global presence. The crown jewel of his initiatives, the Indywood Film Carnival, emerged as an unprecedented convergence of cinema, media, music, advertising, fashion, and education, drawing billionaire investors from diverse industries, all united by the vision of transforming Indian cinema.

As the founder of the Indywood Billionaires Club, Roy’s ambitions reach beyond entertainment to economic transformation, working toward the audacious goal of achieving parity between the Indian Rupee and the US Dollar. Through two decades of organising talent hunts, he has discovered and launched hundreds of promising careers in the film industry. He initiated establishment of Film Clubs across educational institutions and corporate organisations, fostering skill development and career design in unprecedented ways. He also pioneered an innovative approach to corporate social responsibility by leveraging the power of cinema for social change. Under his leadership, Aries Group broke new ground with ‘Jalam’, their first charity movie from south India, whose profits directly supported landless communities in Kerala’s Idukki region and funded women empowerment programmes. This successful model inspired further ventures, including ‘Aickarakkonathe Bhishaguranmaar’, ‘Mmmm – Sound of Pain’, ‘Aadhivaasi’, and ‘Karnika’. Each film emphasises his vision of using cinema not just as entertainment, but as a catalyst for meaningful social transformation.

Transforming Maritime Studies

Education holds a special place in Roy’s vision for the future. In 2012, he founded the Aries International Maritime Research Institute (AIMRI) to revolutionise maritime education through visual media and technology. The institute delivers advanced technical, management, and personal development courses for the maritime sector, and is pioneering AI-driven education through its i-Metaverse University initiative. He also initiated the Industrial Doctorate concept under AIMRI to bridge academia and industry and honor individuals who have made exceptional contributions or achieved remarkable lifetime accomplishments in their fields of expertise. He further revolutionised maritime education by creating Marine BizTV & Medi BizTV, the world’s first maritime TV channels, offering an impressive 20,000 hours of technical content. Roy’s innovative spirit has yielded 270 groundbreaking concepts and products, each designed with sustainability at its core.

Nurturing Young Talents

His vision has now expanded with the creation of the Indywood Talent Club, a platform that combines visual learning with personalised career guidance. Through its flagship Aries Kids Career Design Programme, he mentors students to map out their future careers based on their interests and abilities. The programme equips young students with the practical knowledge, skills, and insights essential for a successful transition into the professional realm. He recently took over India’s largest stage drama, Aries Kalanilayam, for a project dedicated to nurturing and showcasing young and talented individuals in the vibrant world of theatre production.

To enhance the learning experience, he also introduced the Educational 3D Theatre, creating an immersive environment where students can engage with educational content firsthand. Equipped with advanced features to facilitate seminars, video presentations, conferences, online classes, 3D i-education, animatic content, and more, this technological marvel helps schools, professional colleges, and universities keep pace with the growing needs of the education sector. At Agali Vocational Higher Secondary School in Kerala’s Attapadi, students now benefit from a state-of-the-art Educational Theatre and Film Club. The theatre features premium audiovisual technology, transforming everyday lectures and seminars into immersive learning experiences. Complementing this facility, the newly established film club introduces students to the art and craft of cinema, deepening their understanding of filmmaking.

The Quest to Optimise Efficiency

At the heart of Roy’s success lies his pioneering Efficiency Improvement System Management (EFFISM), a revolutionary efficiency improvement concept, which incorporates 100 critical efficiency parameters to optimise an individual’s both personal and professional performance. Coupled with the Hartoise programme, EFFISM has now become a blueprint for organisational excellence. Based on the basic principle of balanced body, mind, and Karma (1:1:1), it is the first validated Industrial Research Product developed by Aries International Maritime Research Institute (AIMRI). EFFISM allows individuals to maintain a perfect work-life balance and achieve their goals effortlessly. It not only understands an individual’s efficiency, but also changes their fundamental character and improves it daily. It identifies efficiency drain holes through its 200 set parameters and helps increase the profits of an organisation by up to 30 – 300% through efficiency improvement. Through various initiatives within the Aries Group, he has implemented continuous industrial education programs that bridge the gap between academic knowledge and practical industry requirements.

In Love with the Gentleman’s Game

Beyond the boardroom, Roy is a passionate cricket lover which led to significant investments in the sports sector. When he established the Aries Group of Companies, he brought his childhood passion into the corporate world. Every year, the company organises internal cricket matches, a tradition that not only keeps employees fit and healthy but also fosters team spirit and leadership skills. Taking one step further, Aries under his leadership started to conduct the Aries Premier Cricket League where corporates in the Middle East come together and share their love for the sport. As his cricket journey continued to expand internationally, he became a co-owner of the Harare Hurricanes in Zimbabwe’s Zim Afro T10 cricket league, partnering with Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt. This venture further demonstrated his commitment to promoting cricket and creating opportunities for talent development across different countries. His dream of owning a cricket team in Kerala became a reality when the Kerala Cricket League (KCL) was announced. He seized the opportunity to acquire Aries Kollam Sailors, which went on to win the first match of the season- a moment of triumph that validated his long-standing love for the Gentleman’s Game.

Besides his entrepreneurial achievements, his literary achievements are equally impressive. He holds the Time Record and World Book of Records UK recognition for writing and publishing socially relevant short poems. In the last seven years, he has written over 2,700 poems without taking a single day break. His work in Anukavyam represents a unique blend of social consciousness and artistic expression, reaching over 200,000 followers through daily poetry posts.

Taking HR Management to New Heights

What sets the Aries Group apart is its revolutionary human resource practices. Numerous model schemes have been initiated as part of its policy programmes, including providing pensions to employees ‘homemakers’ partners and parents, providing employees with a 50% share, royalties, providing financial security to their parents in the event of an employee’s unexpected demise, providing educational allowances, scholarships for their children’s education and more. Roy’s employee-centric philosophy manifests in unique initiatives such as grandparent care support, interest-free home support, extended maternity and motherhood leave, menstrual leave, startup partnerships, anti-caste and anti-dowry commitment, and allowance for inter-caste marriage to name a few. These measures are a testament to the organisation’s commitment to creating a workplace where employees and their families can thrive and prosper.

These groundbreaking practices have not only fostered loyalty but have also created a model for sustainable business growth. He also established Happiness Department in his organisation to oversee their new fitness centre, employee engagement programmes, wellness initiatives, and even fitness challenges. The department also conducts regular health check-up drives, and team-building activities to promote a balanced, happy workplace. Recognised with prestigious accolades such as the Visionary leadership in Maritime Innovation and Cinema at the Global Indian Business Achievement Awards, Pride of Bharat Award 2024 by the I CAN Foundation India, Maritime Personality of the Year Award 2023 and the Global Peace Award at the Global Summit 2022, Roy’s dynamic leadership and visionary ideas have left a profound mark on various industries.

Back to the Roots

As his global success grew, Sohan Roy’s thoughts frequently returned to Aickarakkonam, the village that shaped his early years. Despite building an international maritime empire, he maintained a deep connection to his roots. Recognising the untapped potential in Aickarakkonam, he envisioned creating meaningful opportunities for its residents. His goal extended beyond job creation. Instead, he aimed at empowering individuals, especially women, toward financial independence and personal growth. By establishing an Aries Group office in Aickarakkonam, he bridged his professional achievements with his commitment to community development.

A cornerstone of Roy’s vision for Aickarakkonam was implementing skill development programs for women. Understanding the barriers many women faced in accessing education and employment, he introduced training initiatives that equipped them with practical skills. These efforts fostered independence and confidence, breaking traditional constraints that had historically limited their opportunities. Through workshops, classes, and support systems, villagers have now gained tools to build sustainable futures. To brand Aickarakkonam and Ayurveda globally, he produced ‘Aickarakonnathe Bhishaguranmaar’ which contended for the Oscars in 2023, and created a global awareness about Ayurvedic practitioners worldwide.

Despite leading a global organisation, Roy maintains a personal involvement in Aickarakkonam’s development. For him, developing his native place represents more than corporate social responsibility – it’s a deeply personal mission to honour his origins and the values that shaped him. Through his efforts to transform Aickarakkonam into a model village, he ensures that the community spirit that influenced his character continues to thrive and inspire future generations.

Amid Kerala’s digital transformation, Oxygen: The Digital Expert has been at the forefront, delivering cutting-edge digital brands to consumers while ensuring their post-sale needs and aspirations are fully met. With a legacy spanning 25 years, the company has built an unshakeable bond of trust with over 7 million customers. In a candid discussion, CEO Shijo K. Thomas offers a glimpse into the brand’s extraordinary journey and its ambitious plans for the future.

Can you tell us about your entry into the world of business?

My journey into entrepreneurship was shaped by both circumstance and passion. After completing a diploma in computer engineering, I began my career at a private firm in Ernakulam. But life had other plans—when my mother required medical care in 1999, I had to step away from my job and return to my hometown, Kanjirappally in the Kottayam district.

Faced with the need for an alternative livelihood, I turned to what I knew best—computers. That’s how Ozone Systems was born: a humble 50-square-foot space where I began assembling and selling personal computers. It was just me and one other staff member, working in a time when the idea of a personal computer was still new to most households. Back then, computers were largely the domain of institutions, and assembling one was far from easy.

We would import spare parts, build the systems ourselves, and deliver them to customers. Installing an operating system was a saga of its own—Windows 3.1 came on 31 floppy disks, and one faulty disk could derail the entire process. Fungus on a single floppy meant starting from scratch. It took days to build and set up a computer, but the challenge was part of the thrill.

Today, technology has evolved dramatically—computers arrive pre-loaded and ready to use. But back then, it was about patience, precision, and passion. What began as a modest one-room setup in Kanjirappally slowly but steadily grew, paving the way for our expansion into Kottayam and beyond.

What inspired the name “Oxygen”?

The idea behind the name was to choose something distinctive and unique, without an obvious link to technology, and then build a strong brand around it. Since our first venture was named Ozone Systems, it felt natural to evolve the name to Oxygen. We also found inspiration in the chemical transformation from ozone (O₃) to oxygen (O₂). Beyond that, in today’s world, digital products have become as essential as oxygen, making the name even more fitting and meaningful for our vision.

“Trust is our hot ticket to success” – How has this philosophy helped shape the growth of the Oxygen Group?

From the very beginning, trust has been our top priority. We place great emphasis on after-sales service. The relationship with a customer starts when they purchase a product, especially electronic goods, and it continues beyond the sale. When computers were not as common in the early days, customers had many doubts about their functionality. It was also the time when the internet was just starting to gain traction. We used to receive constant service calls, even at night, and we always attended them.

To gain customer trust, selling only high-quality products is crucial. In our early days, the grey market was very active in this sector. However, from the beginning until now, we have only provided company-authorised spare parts, ensuring customers receive the warranty they deserve. We have never compromised on the quality.

By holding firmly to our principle that “Trust is our hot ticket to success”, we have retained customers who have been with us since 1999. Ever since we rebranded from Ozone to Oxygen, every showroom has had an Oxygen Care service center. These units are our own, set up purely to support customers without focusing on profit.

By maintaining product quality and providing excellent after-sales service, we have continued our journey alongside our customers. This is why, even in our 25th year, we continue to thrive successfully. Hence, “Trust is our hot ticket to success.”

Can you explain the phenomenal growth from a 50-square-foot shop to 44 showrooms across Kerala?

As I mentioned earlier, that era marked the beginning of digitalisation. It was a time when computers started becoming a necessity. Recognising this demand and establishing a firm presence in the market was the key to our growth.

At one point, I met with a major accident and was bedridden for six months. During that period, I realised an important truth—no individual can build and sustain a large enterprise alone. However, if there is a trustworthy and energetic team alongside, success can be achieved. Understanding this, I gradually built a strong team. Instead of focusing solely on highly educated individuals, I prioritised hiring those who were deeply committed and willing to lead our venture selflessly.

Another crucial factor was effectively marketing our products and services. From the beginning, we have paid significant attention to continuously informing both customers and potential customers about our offerings. As we scaled up, we computerised and implemented automation. Today, all aspects of our business operate through systematic automation, which has greatly contributed to our growth. Our ability to recognise and adapt to changing times has been a major factor in our business expansion.

Can you elaborate on ‘Adapting to Change’?

Adapting to change is one of the most critical aspects of running a successful and sustainable business. If a business fails to embrace evolving trends, its very survival can be at risk. For instance, take Nokia, which was once a leader in mobile phones. Its reluctance to adopt the Android operating system led to its decline. Similarly, Kodak was once the number-one company in the camera industry, but when digital cameras emerged, the company collapsed because it failed to adapt.

In our case, we started by assembling personal computers. When laptops became popular, we shifted our focus accordingly. We were the first in Kerala to introduce stores where customers could experience computers and laptops firsthand with a “touch-and-feel” experience. That store became a benchmark, and many others followed the same model.

Similarly, when the smartphone revolution arrived in 2010, we incorporated smartphones into our product category. This brought a massive transformation to our business. Today, nearly 45% of our revenue comes from smartphone sales. If we had not included smartphones in our product line-up back then, our growth would not have been as significant.

We also adapted to changes in the home appliances industry, embracing digitalisation and AI-driven products. Our goal has been to bring all kinds of electronic products under one roof. Now, we are eagerly preparing for the changes the future will bring.

How do you balance innovation and core values?

As a business grows from 10 crore to 100 crore, and then to `1,000 crore, maintaining the right infrastructure, systems, and a tech-driven backend becomes essential. Technology can propel a company to new heights when implemented effectively, surpassing individual efforts. Additionally, it’s crucial that everyone in leadership embraces a growth mindset. The moment one thinks, “This is enough,” the growth trajectory starts to flatten. Building a robust growth engine, analyzing data, and making real-time adjustments ensure that innovation and expansion remain in harmony.

What led to the launch of your own TV brand, ‘Oxyview’?

Through our constant engagement with customers in our stores, we recognized a gap in the market—a need for a high-quality television with essential features, offered at an affordable price. This insight inspired the creation of Oxyview, a private-label brand that allows us to offer direct service and warranty. The goal was simple: to bring smart technology to the masses. The response has been overwhelmingly positive, often surpassing supply due to strong demand.

The success of Oxyview has opened doors for expansion into other home appliances. We are set to launch Oxyview air conditioners in the upcoming season, followed by small appliances. In addition, large-scale manufacturing is taking place in India, with strong support from the Indian government’s “Make in India” initiative.

Are there plans to expand Oxygen at the national or international level?

Yes, national expansion efforts are already in progress, and they will be realised soon. However, there are currently no immediate plans for international expansion.

What are the essential qualities of an entrepreneur?

In any business, the most important aspect is to execute innovative ideas creatively. This ability is the first and foremost requirement for an entrepreneur. They must be strong enough to face challenges and crises, take the initiative in every situation, and have the adaptability to adjust to changing circumstances. They should also be capable of creating the necessary resources for the business.

Above all, an entrepreneur must be patient. Success does not come overnight—it requires consistent efforts and perseverance. Many young entrepreneurs and start-ups enter this field thinking, “I can’t work under someone else, so I’ll start my own business.” However, their rise and fall often happen as quickly as fireflies flashing in the dark. Some keep shifting from one venture to another because they lack the patience to endure losses.

In my case, for the first five years, I had no profits—I faced multiple financial setbacks. However, patience and persistence helped me reach where I am today.

Every business typically goes through five stages, known as the “5 S’s”:

1. Struggle – The initial phase involves battling various challenges.

2. Survival – This is when a business begins to manage its expenses.

3. Stability – At this stage, profits start coming in.

4. Success – This phase involves establishing a strong second-line leadership team that manages systems and processes.

5. Scale-up – The final stage, where the business grows beyond the entrepreneur’s direct involvement.

What challenges do you face in running a large retail chain?

The retail landscape has dramatically changed with the rise of e-commerce, creating intense price-driven competition. The focus has shifted from delivering value to customers to simply offering the lowest price. In the past, factors like after-sales service and customer satisfaction were central to the business model. Today, many consumers prioritize price over long-term value, which is a concerning trend. Businesses that rely solely on price cuts will struggle to maintain sustainable growth and customer loyalty in the long run. The key to success lies in balancing fair pricing with exceptional after-sales service and an overall positive customer experience.

If Oxygen were to start a new business beyond retail, which industry would you choose?

If we were to diversify beyond retail, we would enter the field of digital product manufacturing. The potential for digital products is boundless, especially with the rapid growth of technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Robotics. These innovations are already reshaping everyday life, with AI integrated into everything from smartphones to home appliances. To stay ahead, we would focus on creating AI-driven and robotics-based digital products that cater to the ever-evolving needs of consumers.

How would you sum up Oxygen’s success in three words?

Oxygen’s success is built on three core values:

  1. Democracy – Every decision is made collaboratively, with input from the entire team.
  2. Socialism – We foster an egalitarian culture, where every team member, regardless of their role, is valued equally.
  3. Secularism – Our internal operations are guided by fairness, transparency, and integrity.

Additionally, we believe in being transparent with our customers, consistently delivering high-quality products. From our early days of computer assembly to embracing modern technologies, we’ve always kept the public informed. Lastly, we see wealth as a societal asset, one that should be reinvested for the betterment of society in various meaningful ways.

Ukraine has firmly rejected Pope Francis’ suggestion for Kyiv to negotiate an end to its conflict with Russia and to “raise the white flag.” The country’s foreign minister emphasized Ukraine’s commitment to its blue and yellow flag, stating they would never raise any other flag. President Zelensky dismissed the Pope’s remarks as “virtual mediation,” while a Vatican spokesman clarified that the Pope was advocating for negotiation rather than capitulation.

The Pope’s comments, made in an interview with Swiss broadcaster RSI and set to air on March 20, sparked widespread criticism. President Zelensky praised Ukrainian chaplains on the frontline but did not directly address the Pope’s statement. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Kuleba reiterated Ukraine’s allegiance to its flag, while the country’s ambassador to the Vatican compared the Pope’s words to advocating talks with Adolf Hitler during World War Two.

Vatican spokesman Matteo Bruni explained that the Pope used the metaphor of the white flag proposed by the interviewer to indicate a truce achieved through negotiation, emphasizing that negotiations are not a surrender. The conflict between Ukraine and Russia has continued for over two years, with Ukraine facing defensive challenges. In the United States, a bill to provide $60 billion to Ukraine was blocked in Congress, and European countries are struggling to reach a consensus on supporting Kyiv.

In Paris, a defamation lawsuit against the long-standing filmmaker Roman Polanski was scheduled to commence on Tuesday, brought forward by British actress Charlotte Lewis.

The lawsuit stems from Polanski’s remarks to Paris Match magazine in 2019, where he accused Lewis of fabricating a sexual assault allegation against him from four decades ago. Polanski, now 90, had fled the United States in 1978 after admitting to unlawful sexual activity with a thirteen-year-old girl. Despite numerous allegations of abuse from other women, Polanski has consistently denied any wrongdoing.

Polanski, residing in Paris, has opted not to attend the trial personally, with his legal representation handling the proceedings. On the other hand, Lewis, currently living in the UK, was expected to be present.

Lewis initiated the legal action four years ago, expressing her readiness for the trial despite the prolonged and distressing process. In 2010, she had accused Polanski of assaulting her at the age of 16 during a casting trip to Paris in 1983, although she later appeared in one of his films.

Polanski’s defense in the defamation case refers to a 1999 article in a now-defunct British tabloid, where Lewis allegedly expressed admiration for him. However, Lewis maintains that the quotes attributed to her were inaccurate.

The defamation complaint led to automatic charges against Polanski under French law. The filmmaker, celebrated for works like “Chinatown” and “The Pianist,” has remained a controversial figure, evading extradition attempts by US authorities due to his French and Polish citizenship.

Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson has announced plans to conduct a one-on-one interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow. Carlson stated that he aims to provide Americans with a deeper understanding of the conflict in Ukraine, which he believes mainstream media coverage has failed to deliver. He emphasized his personal funding of the trip, highlighting his commitment to independent journalism.

This interview would mark President Putin’s first engagement with a Western journalist since the invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. Carlson’s decision to pursue this interview underscores the significance of the conflict and the need for diverse perspectives in understanding its complexities. It also reflects a departure from traditional media channels, as Carlson intends to broadcast the interview live and unedited on his social media platform, X.

Critics have raised concerns about the potential risks and ethical implications of such an interview, given Putin’s track record and the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Ukraine. However, Carlson remains steadfast in his belief that Americans deserve access to unfiltered information about the conflict. The interview is expected to spark significant interest and debate, shaping public discourse on both sides of the Atlantic.

In Smolensk, Russia, firefighters went beyond the typical animal rescue scenario when they found an injured Ural owl outside their fire station gates on Monday morning. The owl, with a damaged wing, was under attack by crows. The firefighters promptly intervened, rescuing the distressed bird from the crows and providing warmth and nourishment.

Following the rescue, the Ural owl was transported to a veterinarian for an x-ray and additional care. The next step involves sending the owl to a wild bird rehabilitation and reintroduction center, as stated by Smolensk’s emergency services.

Natalia Arbuzova, a press officer interviewed by Russian state media, recounted the incident. She explained how the firefighters noticed the motionless owl with an injured wing being pecked by crows at 10:00 local time. The firefighters acted swiftly, driving away the crows, placing the owl on a shovel, and bringing it inside the station. To protect the owl from light sensitivity, it was kept in a dark box and provided with nourishment.

The bird is anticipated to recover well, but it will remain at the vet’s until it is ready to be transferred to the rehabilitation center, Arbuzova added.

Being honest, beauty pageants require a lot of preparation, it’s not just about how beautiful you look but it’s more about how you represent yourself, the knowledge you possess about what is happening around you and your take on the issues and how you would use your voice to bring about a change. My preparation began with me realising why I want to be on this stage, working on every aspect it takes to be on this stage and molding myself with new learning’s every day.
Pegasus has played a very integral part in this journey of mine, the grooming we got on various aspects like ramp walk, personality development, voice modulation, stage presence, etc has helped me in cracking the code of pageants. Thank you to our groomer Konchita ma’am and the entire Pegasus organisation, Ajit Ravi sir, Jebitha ma’am and everyone for this wonderful opportunity.

What challenges did you encounter during the pageant, and how did you overcome them?

As to how beautiful pageant might seem to be but the journey might be the same challenging There are many challenges, may it be financially, mentally or may be some days are just not meant for us. What I have realised is, the key here is to just learn from the situation and move ahead. Consistently working on our dreams will definitely take us to what belongs to us. Let us keep patience and faith in the journey.

How has participating in Miss Glam World impacted your life and personal growth?

It has made me a much more confident individual. It has shown me that hard work will never leave your side. The learning from this platform is something that I will cherish forever and put to the right use in my everyday life too.

As the second runner-up, what do you believe set you apart from the other contestants?

Throughout the pageant, I have always kept reminding myself why I am here and never forget my goal but at the same time, a very prominent lesson that pageants have taught me is to embrace the journey and live every moment to the fullest. And I think that is what sets me apart. Being present, staying calm, embracing the journey and learning sometimes from every situation, person or event.

What are the most significant lessons you learned from your Miss Glam World experience?

Miss glam world is definitely a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. It taught me that more than the destination it’s the journey that matters. So many contestants from so many different countries, so much diversity but at same time there was love, care, and sisterhood for one another. This experience did show the beauty of pageants and the wonderful essence it carries on humankind.

How do you plan to use your platform and recognition as the second runner-up to make a positive impact on society?

I know that I can’t suddenly bring a big change in society but practically whatever little is possible from my end, I will work to the fullest to bring that positive difference. May it be like the smallest of motivating someone who is doubting their own ability irrespective of what field it is. Or being a voice or lending a helping hand to the ones in need.
I was always taught the importance of education and through this platform, I want to show the world the importance of education and the change it can bring on a personal and at a global level. By this even if I can bring about a change in few people’s life that itself would mean a lot to me.

Can you share your favorite aspect of the pageant experience and why it was so meaningful to you?

It would definitely be the sisterhood. This journey just blesses us with so many sisters , friends, mentors, role models, etc. We all most definitely know that this is a competition but at the same time everyone here is there for one another. There is love, empathy, sharing, caring for one another and this is something that certainly stands out when it comes to pageants.

What advice would you give to aspiring contestants who are considering participating in Miss Glam World in the future?

Just go for it girl! This journey will mold you into a better individual in so many ways, not just in the pageant space but on a personal level too. This is definitely a very safe place with right mentors, right guidance and great environment. Try to always give your best but do not ever forget your roots.

How do you see yourself continuing to be involved in the pageant world or the beauty and fashion industry moving forward?

THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING, this is what I tell myself every time. Like any other field I believe pageants are also a limitless journey of learning and knowledge gaining. So I will certainly continue this journey of pageants and grab every opportunity that comes my way and make the best use of it.

Throughout the competition, you must have met and interacted with various contestants. Have you formed any strong friendships or connections that you plan to maintain?

It’s said “You are an average of 5 people around you “ and I feel it’s always important to be surrounded by like-minded people and for me these friendships that I have been fortunate to make during my pageant journey are very precious. The energy, and vibe when you talk to people having similar goals like us is wonderful. Yes, I have also made some precious friendships that I will treasure forever.

What do you think the pageant industry can do to further empower and support women in their personal and professional endeavors?

Pageant industry can become more inclusive, open and welcoming to every individual irrespective of their colour, creed, height, age, marital status, etc and with the help of social media and other platforms it should show the world what a beautiful platform this is and how it empowers women community as a whole.

Beyond the glitz and glamour of pageantry, what are your personal interests and passions?

Beyond the glitz and glamour of pageantry, I would want to be a strong, independent woman who is successful in her professional career and who can inspire others with her positive actions.
Being an engineer myself my parents have always emphasised on the importance of education and through this platform I want to voice for the education of underprivileged and show the world the prominence of education.

How has your experience in Miss Glam World shaped your perception of beauty and its role in today’s society?

Beauty for me has always been something beyond one’s external appearance. In my perspective beauty, especially when it comes to beauty pageants is all about how confidently you project yourself and your thoughts and in doing so, It’s essential that we all collectively promote diverse representations of beauty and focus on inner qualities and talents.

In the future, would you consider participating in other pageants or similar competitions to further your personal and professional growth?

Yes, I have always believed beauty pageants is a journey of limitless learning and continuous personal development, it has also helped me in both, my personal and professional front in putting forth my ideas confidently. So I will continue to work hard, follow my heart , trust the process and grab every opportunity that comes my way and make the best use of it.
As I mentioned before, THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING!!
