The leaders of EU had taken decisions to grant permissions to Theresa May for Brexit delay. France urges for conditions to limit Britain’s ability to undermine the bloc.

Prime Minister Theresa May dashed to Berlin and Paris for a meetup with Angela Merkel and Emmanuel Macron to ask for permission to allow UK to put off its divorce from April 12.

It is not yet clear about what Merkel and Macron had agreed with May. A draft seen by reuters read, “The United Kingdom shall facilitate the achievement of the Union’s tasks and refrain from any measure which could jeopardise the attainment of the Union’s objectives”.

A Brexit delay to June 30 was asked by May to the EU. But the draft left the end-date blank pending a decision by the other 27 national leaders on Wednesday evening in Brussels.

May had said that she fears Brexit might never happen as she battles to get a divorce deal ratified by a divided parliament, more than a week after Britain was originally supposed to leave the EU.

A powerful surveillance app, which was first designed for Android is now targeting the iPhone users, says techcrunch. This spy app, dubbed ‘Exodus’ was discovered by the research team at mobile security firm Lookout. They said that its developer abused their Apple-issued enterprise certificates to bypass the tech giant’s app store to infect unsuspecting victims.

Once installed, this carrier assistance app will take the owner’s personal information, contacts, audio recordings, photos, videos and other device information. The real-time lactation data can also be hacked by this app. The calls may also be leaked. There was no data regarding who might have been targeted.

Zack Whittaker, the security editor at TechCrunch said “Security researchers have discovered a powerful surveillance app first designed for Android devices can now target victims with iPhones”.

“Although the Android version was downloadable directly from Google’s app store, the iOS version was not widely distributed. Instead, Connexxa signed the app with an enterprise certificate issued to the developer by Apple, said Bauer, allowing the surveillance app maker to bypass Apple’s strict app store checks”, said Whittaker.

Many victims were trapped by the Android app, dubbed Exodus, either by installing it or having it installed. According to ‘Security Without Borders’, this spy app has a larger feature set and expanded spying capabilities by downloading an additional exploit designed to gain root access to the device, giving the app near complete access to a device’s data, including emails, cellular data, Wi-Fi passwords and more. Exodus is reportedly made an in Italian company called eSurv.

The yummy scene of White Witch’s ‘Turkish Delight’ is never forgettable by the ‘Narnia’ fans. The Chronicles of Narnia – The Lion, The Witch, The Wardrobe and of course, The ‘TURKISH DELIGHT’ ! Here comes the delicious recipe of ‘Turkish Delight’, from the evergreen movie ‘The Chronicles of Narnia’.

Ingredients:

  • Sugar : 2½ cups
  • Cornstarch : 1¼ cup
  • Water : 2¼ cups
  • Lemon juice : 3 tablespoons
  • Pistachios : 3½ oz.
  • Hazelnuts : 3½ oz.
  • Orange blossom water : 1 tablespoon
  • Rose water : 1 tablespoon
  • Liquid food coloring
  • Cornstarch : 1 cup
  • Icing sugar : 1 cup

Preparation:

Before the preparation of the dough itself, take two 6×6 inch molds or boxes with parchment paper (or wax paper). Brush the paper lightly with oil. Spread cornstarch at the bottom of each mold or box lined with parchment paper. Roast the pistachios and hazelnuts seperately for a few minutes in a hot pan. Put them aside.

Boil 1 cup of water and add into it the sugar and lemon juice. Keep a medium flame. wait till the foam forms. Continue cooking until the sugar mixture reduces and thickens but before it changes to a caramel color.

Check on the sugar syrup. The syrup should not cover the bottom of the pan back too quickly as it should not be too liquid. In a bowl, mix 1¼ cup of corn starch with 1¼ cup of cold water and stir well to completely dissolve the cornstarch in the water. Then add this mixture to the syrup prepared above. Reduce heat to low and stir constantly. The mixture will slowly thicken and become more difficult to mix. Stir continuously.

The preparation is ready when it is completely detached from the bottom of the pan. It can take between an hour and an hour and a half. Divide dough into two equal parts. In the first, add a tablespoon of orange blossom water, the roasted pistachios and desired coloring and stir well.

In the second, add a tablespoon of rosewater, roasted hazelnuts. Divide each dough into molds or boxes and smooth the surface as much as possible.

Cover with aluminum foil. Let it dry for 24 hours. Turn the dough over and cut into squares with a large smooth knife. To facilitate cutting, coat the knife with oil with a brush before each slicing.

Pour the small cups of powdered sugar and cornstarch in a dish and mix well. Roll each cut square in this mixture once, then again. You can also put the sugar and cornstarch mixture in a freezer bag and add the squares of Turkish delights in small quantities and mix well to coat completely. Since we are covering the Turkish with a mixture of icing sugar and cornstarch, the color will fade quite a bit. So adding a bit of color will be a good option.

May had requested to EU for a further delay to Brexit until 30 June. She had submitted a document to Donald Tusk, the President of the European Council regarding this. May had agreed that the country was preparing to take part in elections for the European Parliament in May. On 12th of April, The UK is currently due to leave the EU. No withdrawal deal has been approved by MPs.

The Tory negotiating team had not yet approved any changes to May’s original deal, said Sir Keir Starmer, the shadow Brexit secretary.

“The government will want to agree a timetable for ratification that allows the United Kingdom to withdraw from the EU before 23 May 2019 and therefore cancel the European parliament elections, but will continue to make responsible preparations to hold the elections should this not prove possible”, said May.
