Spain to allow children to get out of homes

Few days after Barcelona Mayor Ada Colau – who is the mother of two young children – pointed out how the lockdown imposed to curb the spread of Covid-19 made serious physical and psychological impacts on children, Spain has decided to reduce the measures that restricts the free movement of children outside their homes.

The big decision has come at the time several European countries are preparing to bring in some relaxations on their restrictions.

Spain at present the only country in the continent of Europe where there is a restriction on the movement of children in place.

The country recently faced severe criticism for its tough restrictions – especially its restriction on the movement of children.

As per a statement made by Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, the relaxation will come to effect on 27th April, 2020.

Spain is one of the worst affected country in the continent of Europe. Over 20,000 people have passed away in the country due to the virus outbreak. The outbreak has infected not less than 2,00,000 people.

According to the latest statement of Spain PM, the country has successfully passed the peak and has contained the spread of the disease successfully.

Amazon not to reopen warehouses in France soon

E-commerce giant Amazon is less likely to reopen its warehouses situated in the European country of France any time soon, as the allegation that the conglomerate has not shown any respect to the sanitary directive given by the government as part of its effort to contain the spread of Covid-19 is troubling the company based in the North American country of the United States of America.

The company has at least six warehouses in the European country of France.

Earlier, the company was pulled up by a French court as the court found that the company was involved in the delivery of non-essential goods flouting the restriction require all companies limit their supply to essential goods. The court restricted the company from delivering non-essential goods.

There are reports that the unions in France are against the conglomerate. They have recently raised their concern about the lack of respect for the sanitary directive by the company.

The closure of the warehouses has badly impacted the business of the company in the country of France.

France is one of the worst affected countries in the continent of Europe. Over 20,000 people has suffered due to the coronavirus outbreak in the country.

France is not the only country to limit the operation of this e-commerce tycoon. Lately, several countries – even those in the developing world – have imposed similar measures against the company.

EU to step in to prevent unfair takeover of EU companies by foreigners

Indirectly erecting a strong wall against the possible acquisition of EU companies by Chinese companies unfairly misusing the opportunity emerged due to the outbreak of coronavirus, the European Union has decided to support European companies to prevent the takeover of them by foreigners especially China.

There are rumours that certain Chinese state-owned companies may step in to acquire certain strategically important European companies.

From the new decision, it can be assumed that the EU is well aware of this plan and is ready to go any extend to derail the wicked strategy.

Meanwhile, an EU official, who is aware about the development, has termed, in a statement given to an International media, the EU plan as a last resort strategy.

It is clear that the EU is very vigilant. Though the union has not mentioned clear why they have created this plan, when the plan is analysed closely it can be identified clearly that it is aimed to prevent the possible takeover of EU companies by Chinese state-owned companies.

The EU is expected to throw its protective blanket over all vulnerable companies, which they fell are strategically important.

It is yet to be seen how China will react to this move.

Coronavirus outbreak under control in Germany

The European country of Germany – which is one of the most advanced countries in the continent especially in terms of its health care capability – has marked a huge achievement in its fight against the coronavirus outbreak.

The commitment shown by the German healthcare workers is worth appreciable. The achievement the country have made is the natural outcome of the dedication shown by this country’s healthcare workers.

As per a latest report, the infection rate has dropped to around 0.7 – that means the rate has fallen below the rates of its counterparts in the continent.

In Germany, so far, more than 3,868 have died due to the Covid-19 outbreak – though lower than Italy and Spain, it is still a big number. The virus has by now infected around 1,34,000 people in the country.

It seems that Germany has long distance to go before sit and relax.

Coronavirus outbreak: France criticises China

The European country of France has strongly criticised the Asian country of China – where the disastrous coronavirus outbreak originated several months ago – for the way the Asian country has handled the virus outbreak, a day after a Chinese official website stated the European country left its elderly population in its care homes to destiny.

French President Emmanuel Macron has come out openly against China, questioning the Asian country’s handling of the virus outbreak.

He has contradicted the claim that the Asian country has handled the virus outbreak better than its European counterparts.

France has summoned the Chinese ambassador to the European country to express its dissatisfaction towards the statement published in the Chinese website handled by the Chinese embassy in the country.

Meanwhile, Beijing has taken a non provocative stand in this matter. It has expressed its disinterest to open up an issue because of this statement. It has clarified that it has no intension to make a negative comment against any European country including France.

France is one of the worst hit countries in the continent of Europe. France is now in a recovering stage. Its handling of the outbreak is in fact exceptional.

It is yet to be known how the statement will affect the France-China relation.

Denmark to allow more relaxations

A day after the European country of Denmark opened up its schools to its children aged below eleven, the country has decided to bring in more relaxations like those they recently announced.

The country has decided to allow its beauty salons, hairdressers and tattoo parlours to resume their operations.

Denmark, the country which was one of the first countries to impose a restriction to control the coronavirus outbreak, has become one of the first countries to announce a wide range of relaxations for its citizens to bring back them to normal life.

All establishments which are entitled for the benefit of the relaxations announced by the government have been advised to respect the guidelines provided to prevent the spread of the virus outbreak.

The people of the country has been requested to respect the directives announced by the government to prevent the spread of the outbreak.

Denmark is not a seriously affected country. It seems that the country will walk back to normal in few days.

“No-one wants to keep Denmark closed a day more than is absolutely necessary,” Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen says.

“But we mustn’t go ahead faster than we are able to keep the epidemic under control,” he adds.

Barcelona mayor appeals for the easing of restrictions on children

The Mayor’s statement has triggered several serious debates across the world on whether children should be forced to remain inside their homes.

Many people have openly backed the Mayor’s viewpoint that it may cause serious psychological impact on children.

Spain is one of the worst affected countries in the continent of Europe. Since 14th March, the country is under lockdown. Recently, it provided some relief to certain sectors such as manufacturing. Anyway, no information on when the schools of the country will reopen has been released yet.

EU apologises to Italy

The EU has expressed its apology to the European country of Italy for the improper way it responded to the member country when the country required support in the initial stage of the Coronavirus outbreak.

Though it is a late admission, the statement made by the EU may help the union overcome the ire it has faced for its irresponsible reaction.

Austria, Italy ease restrictions

Shortly after the European Commission advised its members countries to prepare a road map to return to normal, the European countries of Austria and Italy have eased certain restrictions they imposed to contain the spread of Covid-19.

As certain restrictions have been removed, several shops have reopened in Austria, as well as in Italy – which is one of the worst affected regions in the continent.

Though some restrictions have been removed, the countries have not decided to give any relaxation of the matter of social distancing.

The shops, which has benefited from the relaxation, have been directed to maintain the measures necessary to avoid the spread of virus.

In Italy alone, over 20,000 people have lost their lives due to the disease outbreak – which originated in the Asian region of China.

Austria, though better than Italy, is far away in this matter.

Both countries have avoided their worst-hit regions from the scope of the relaxation they have announced.

Meanwhile, the European country of Denmark has also hinted its intention to bring some serious changes on its restrictions.

It has recently allowed its schools to reopen.

The country has already clarified that it might be able to return to normal much earlier than expected.

Schools return to normal in Denmark
