A newlywed wife rescues her husband from a dangerous volcano fall, in the Caribbean island of St Kitts, during their honeymoon.

Clay Chastain, who got fractured his skull during the volcano fall is recovering in a US hospital. It was the courage and love of his wife Acaimie, that helped him to get back to his life.

Acaimie climbed down to reach him and helped drag him out. She overcame her fear of heights and bodily fluids to save his life.

The couple hiked for two miles (3.2km) to the mountain’s base. He said that he leaned against her, vomiting and in pain, during the incident.

“We were literally completely alone. And we’re just so, so thankful to everyone back home. All the support we’ve received has been so overwhelming”, said Acaimie about the accident.

“She’s absolutely incredible”, Chastain praised his wife, after he was flown to Florida. To the media, he said, “Her being able to carry me all the way down a volcano when I can barely stand up is amazing and it’s definitely nothing short of a miracle”.

A giant dinosaur thigh bone have been uncovered by the paleontologists in south-western France. The giant femur has been found out at an excavation site that has been yielding fossils for nearly a decade.

The thigh bone is measured 6.5-foot. Scientists assumed that it belonged to a giant sauropod in France. Sauropod is a plant-eating dinosaur with a long neck and tail.

The sauropods, which existed in the late Jurassic era, were among the largest land animals that ever existed.

Angouleme Museum curator, Jean-François Tournepiche said, “This femur is huge! And in an exceptional state of conservation.”. “It’s very moving”, he added.

The Paleontologists commented that the sate of preservation of the bone is amazing. Reports said that a large pelvic bone was also found nearby.

Ronan Allain, a palaeontologist said, “These are animals that probably weighed 40 to 50 tonnes”.

Ingredients:

  • Vanilla extract: 1 tsp
  • Egg whites: 4 nos
  • Egg yolks: 4 nos
  • Salt: 1/2 tsp
  • White sugar: 1/2 cup
  • Sifted enriched flour: 1/4 cup
  • Chopped walnuts: 1/2 cup
  • Heavy cream (cold): 1 cup
  • Sifted confectioners’ sugar: 1 tbsp
  • White sugar: 1 tbsp
  • Walnut halves: 1 tbsp

Preparation:

Preheat the oven to 190 degrees C. Take a jelly roll pan and put a waxed paper on its bottom. Beat well the egg whites, vanilla extract, and salt in a large bowl until soft peaks form. Beat in 1/2 cup white sugar gradually until combined.

Beat the egg yolks in a separate bowl. Mix it well until it becomes thick and yellow colored. Fold into egg white mixture. Fold in chopped walnuts and flour gently until combined. Spread the batter into the prepared jelly roll pan.

Bake it in the preheated oven, about 12 minutes. Test it by inserting a toothpick in to the center. If it comes out neatly, the baking is perfect. Let it cool for 5 minutes after removed from the oven.

put it on a towel sprinkled with sifted confectioners’ sugar. Peel off wax paper and let cool to lukewarm, 5 to 10 minutes. Roll the cake and towel together. Leave it for cooling for about 15 to 20 minutes.

While cake cools, mix cold heavy cream and 1 tablespoon white sugar in a large bowl using an electric mixer. Unroll the cake and spread the whipped cream on it. Re-roll the cake. Put it in refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

Use dollops of whipped cream and walnut halves for topping. Serve it sliced.

A Polish court has banned the sale of ‘LGBT – free zone’ sticker in Poland. The court ordered the conservative newspaper Gazeta Polska, to stop the distribution of “LGBT-free zone” stickers. The newspaper included these stickers in its recent weekly issue.

Gazeta Polska is a weekly magazine which has a circulation of around 110,000 and supports the the conservative governing Law and Justice party (PiS).

The sticker showed a rainbow flag on which a black cross is imposed. A huge outcry had been caused by these stickers and sparked criticism from the US ambassador to Poland.

Reports are yet to be received on whether the stickers alone are banned or the magazine itself is banned.

Reports said that, the ruling meant the stickers should immediately disappear from all places of sale, according to a lawyer who brought the legal action on behalf of a Polish LGBT activist.

The editor-in -chief of the magazine Gazeta Polska reportedly said that the magazine had not been withdrawn from the shops.

The Governor of Puerto Rico – Ricardo Rossello has announced his resignation after mass protest in the US territory. Rossello said that he will be submitting his resignation on 2nd of August.

The decision was taken after a mass street protest of about two weeks, triggered by a leak of crude and insulting chat messages between him and his top advisers.

He had been criticized for a group text message, which was leaked on 13th of July . The messages revealed sexist, profane and homophobic comments.

The chat was reportedly having 880 pages of exchanges between the governor and 11 male allies.

In a recently posted video, Rossello said, “I announce that I will be resigning from the governor’s post effective Friday, August 2 at 5 pm”. He said that the ‘demands’ of the protesters “have been overwhelming”.

“I feel that to continue in this position would make it difficult for the success that I have achieved to endure,” he added.

The European regions of Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands have marked their highest temperatures ever in an extremely severe heatwave.

Kleine Brogel in Belgium have experienced the highest temperature since 1833 ( 39.9C ). Eindhoven, the southern Dutch city hit the highest temperature of 39.3C, which is a national record of 75 years.

The weather service of Germany said that a new record of 40.5C – just 0.2C higher – had been set in Geilenkirchen, near the Belgian and Dutch borders.

Confirmation regarding the new German record has to be obtained. A warning has been given by their team that it could get even hotter on Thursday.

As a result of this extremely hot climate, a Eurostar train broke down, creating trouble for passengers.

At least 600 passengers has reportedly been stuck in the Eurostar train, near the Belgian town of Halle for two hours. Some carriages of the train were inside the tunnel and the other were outside, in the sun.

The reports said that the tigers in the zoos are being fed with chicken ice-cubes.

The Notre-Dame de Paris is said to be in the risk of collapse on Wednesday, due to the severe hot climate.

5 recorded deaths in France have been doubted for being linked with this hot climate.

Maxim Dadashev (28), the Russian boxer has died due to the injuries he suffered in his IBF light-welterweight fight against Subriel Matias. Reports said that this young promising boxer has been in a coma state after undergoing a brain surgery following the boxing match.

His death has been reportedly occurred in a in a US hospital. Reports said that Dadashev was unable to to walk himself to the dressing room, at the end of the 11th round on Friday, after Buddy McGirt, his trainer has stopped his bout.

He was suffering from bleeding in the brain, and was immediately taken to the hospital. But his surgery was not a success. An investigation has been opened by The Russian Boxing Federation.

Reports said that his death has been confirmed by coach Donatas Janusevicius, and trainer Buddy McGirt. To ESPN, they told, “It just makes you realize what type of sport we’re in, man,” said McGirt. He did everything right in training, no problems, no nothing. My mind is like really running crazy, right now. Like what could I have done differently? But at the end of the day, everything was fine (in training). He seemed OK, he was ready, but it’s the sport that we’re in. It just takes one punch, man”.

The Secretary general Umar Kremlev, in a statement, said that there was “some kind of violation”. “We lost Maxim Dadashev. He was our young prospect.

The US prosecutors said that he Football star Cristiano Ronaldo will not face charges after being accused of sexual assault. It is reported that they do not have enough evidence to proceed with the case.

Kathryn Mayorga (34), a former model claims that she had been raped by Cristiano Ronaldo in a Las Vegas hotel in 2009.

Mayorga claimed that the Ronaldo initially used “fixers” to stop her pursuing criminal charges, including paying her $375,000 to keep quiet.

Reports said that she had made an out-of-court settlement with Ronaldo in 2010, but finds to reopen the case in 2018. Ronaldo had denied all the allegations.

Las Vegas prosecutors on Monday said that the claims could not “be proven beyond reasonable doubt”.

The Clark County District Attorney’s Office said that Mayorga had submitted a report to them on 13th of June 2009, saying that she had been the victim of a sexual assault. She refused to state where the incident happened or who the attacker was.

Police said that they were unable “to conduct any meaningful investigation”, due to this reason. The criminal investigation is now reportedly closed.

The military of United States has denounces a Venezuelan fighter aircraft, claiming that the aircraft has made an ‘unsafe approach’ to US aircraft. US said that the Venezuelan aircraft has endangered the crew of US navy plane in international airspace.

The US Southern Command said that the Venezuelan plane made an “unsafe approach” and “aggressively shadowed” the US reconnaissance aircraft over the Caribbean Sea.

The US Southern Command said that, on Friday, a “Russian-made” SU-30 Flanker Venezuelan fighter aircraft and a US Navy EP-3 Aries II aircraft has been conducting a “detection and monitoring” mission. In his twitter, he said that the incident happened in international airspace over the Caribbean Sea.

Venezuela said that the US aircraft had entered the Venezuelan airspace without their permission. The relations between these two countries have been worse for years.

The reports of US military said that Venezuelan strategic high command “proceeded to intercept the aircraft through two airplanes of the Bolivarian Air Force with the intention of applying the international protocols established by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). As the US aircraft did not comply with such protocols, it was forced to vacate (the Venezuelan airspace)”.

A French submarine named La Minerve, that has been missing since 1968 has been located by a search team. The vessel vanished with 52 sailors on board, near the port of Toulon, on the French south coast, in January 1968.

The submarine was on a particular military mission at the time of its disappearing.

The vessel was located on the seabed in the Mediterranean off the port of Toulon. French Defence Minister Florence Parly tweeted, “It’s a success, a relief and a technical feat. I am thinking of the families who have waited for so long for this moment”.

The vessel was discovered at a depth of nearly 1½ miles. There had been several moves before for finding this submarine, but all were unsuccessful.

The submarine was discovered by a boat belonging to the private US company Ocean Infinity, a senior French naval officer told Agence France-Presse.

The submarine has sunk within four minutes, and the cause of this accident has never been established. The families of the missing crew hope that the wreckage will give answers to all these questions.
