Russia’s “most beautiful poker player” Lilya Novikova (26) has died of electrocution in her bath. Russian media reports that the dreadful incident happened in Moscow.

Lilya’s body was found out by an elderly neighbour, in her bath. The neighbour had received an emergency call from Lilya’s parents.

She was known as Lia among her poker fans. Media reports said that she suffered a fatal electric shock while using a hair dryer in the flat. She was living with her parents.

Lilya was was well known on Twitch.tv, a live streaming channel for online gamers. The confirmation was obtained from the Investigative Committee (SK) of Russia that Lilya had been electrocuted. The reports says that this was an accident.

Lilya was an Engineering graduate from Moscow’s prestigious Bauman University. She was interested in sports as well, besides poker. MK reports said that she had made some videos with top tips for poker fans.

A Siberian start-up has launched its own more modest motor satellite to the space. This happens just after an year when Elon Musk sent his Tesla car into space.

Tesla’s was a space-suited Starman mannequin whereas the ToSky start-up sent up a smaller dummy in the likeness of Dmitry Rogozin. The users of Internet picked Mr Rogozin over other candidates. This includes a dummy of the late Stephen Hawking or a cactus, Radio Liberty’s Siberian news site reports.

The model was Mr Rogozin’s figure, seated at the wheel of the Lada. This has reached an altitude of 20km (12.5 miles) before landing 150km from the launch site with the help of a parachute.

The Tomsk-based start-up says that they can learn more about automatic stratostats. This can spend a long time in the stratosphere.

Nikita Cheban, the project director told the Interfax Siberia news agency that the test flight gathered data that will allow ToSky to design vessels that can “spend more time in the stratosphere, carry heavier payloads, and develop better manoeuverability”.

A promotional video was released by the group. The video was called “We sent Rogozin into near space!”. This featured a smiling Rogozin cardboard cut-out flying above the clouds in a bright-red Lada before making a flawless landing in a field.

The Russian journalist Ivan Golunov, who has been charged drug-dealing case was freed following a public protest. The leading newspapers in Russia, Vedomosti, RBC, and Kommersant had huge support of Golunov.

Golunov, who was freed from police station on Tuesday cried and vowed to continue his investigative journalism. Vladimir Kolokoltsev, the Interior Minister admitted his guilt had “not been proven”. He said that an internal inquiry had been launched.

The minister added that the decision came after “forensic, biological, fingerprinting and genetic tests”. Kolokoltsev said that he would ask Russian President Vladimir Putin to dismiss two high-ranking officials over the case.

The officials include Gen Puchkov, the head of the Interior Affairs Directorate of Moscow’s Western Administrative District and and the head of the Drugs Control Directorate, General Devyatkin.

Three leading newspapers in Russia is observed to be in huge support of a reporter charged with drug offences, in a case that has caused a huge public outcry.

Leading news papers Vedomosti, RBC, and Kommersant have their headlines as support for the charged reporter. The headlines read, ”
“We are Ivan Golunov”, referring to the investigative journalist.

Ivan Golunov (36) was charged over the weekend with trying to illegally sell drugs. His lawyer said that these drugs were planted. During his arrest last week, the journalist was reportedly beaten up.

Golunov is a freelance journalist, and had contributed to a number of media outlets including Meduza, the Latvia-based news site.

The Russian social media were having huge discussions regarding his arrest, saying that the arrest suppresses the freedom of press.

Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin spokesman said that President Vladimir Putin was informed about the case and was made aware regarding this last week and was “keeping a very close eye on all the details”.

Peskov said, “Mistakes cannot be ruled out anywhere or anytime, mistakes are made, among others, by journalists, when they write stories”.

The grooming session of the beauty contest, which had three prime rounds such as designer saree, black cocktail and red gown rounds, was commenced at SAJ Earth Resort & convention centre, Kochi.

The session, which were handled by prominent personalities in the modelling sector, and which aims to impart knowledge in yoga, meditation, personality development, beauty care, catwalk, photo shoot and talent search to the contestants, helped the ladies to gain more confidence.

The queen, Prince Charles, presidents and prime ministers stood up to applaud veterans. PM Theresa May was joined for the commemorative events in Portsmouth by US President Trump and his wife Melania.

Bert Edwards, recounting his role 75 years ago as an able seaman on the Royal Navy’s HMS Bellona said, “We all had a part to play – I wasn’t nervous – I was apprehensive like everybody else was”. During the film he said, “It’s something that happens once in a lifetime – makes you proud a little bit for taking part”.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Merkel, German Chancellor Merkel and leaders and senior figures from 10 other countries also joined.

Europe Times: A jihadist cell leader has been suspected for the murder of Scandinavian hikers in the High Atlas mountains. He had admitted to a Moroccan court that he beheaded one of two hikers killed.

Two Scandinavian hikers named Maren Ueland (28) and Louisa Vesterager Jespersen (24) were found beheaded in an isolated area in December.

A 25-year-old street vendor, Abdessamad Ejjoud told the court, “I beheaded one of them… I regret it”. Reports said that he and 23 other alleged Islamists are on trial in Sale, near Rabat.

Abdessamad Ejjoud, Younes Ouaziyad (27), and Rachid Afatti (33) who were include in this group are accused of pledging allegiance to the Islamic State (IS) group and carrying out the killings. If found guilty, they could face the death penalty. All 24 defendants face different terrorism charges.

The bodies were found on 17 December in an isolated area near Mount Toubkal, Morocco’s highest peak, and a popular destination for hikers.

Hungary boat crash :The captain of a vessel that collided with a small tour boat on the Danube, has been arrested. At least seven has been reported dead in the incident. The incident happened in Budapest.

The 64-year-old Ukrainian national was held as a suspect for the accident. The incident happened on Wednesday, during a rainstorm. The boat was carrying South Korean tourists and, sank within seven seconds after the collision happened.

Reports said that 21 people are missing and there is only a less hope to find them alive. The incident happened on the Danube where navigation is busy but generally safe. Hence this case has been found rare and a criminal investigation has been launched into the collision.

7 people has been rescued alive and were suffering from hypothermia. But reports said that they are achieving stable health. Kang Kyung-wha, South Korea’s foreign minister, is due to arrive in Budapest on Friday for a joint press conference with her Hungarian counterpart Peter Szijjarto.

Ingredients:

  • Milk: 2 cups
  • Water: 1/2 cup
  • Indian tea powder: 1 tbsp
  • Ginger paste: 1 tbsp
  • Sugar for taste
  • Cardamom: 3-4 pcs
  • Small Clay pot

preparation:

Place the clay pot in medium flame and heat the whole pot for about 10 minutes. Keep changing the position of pot to heat it evenly. Meanwhile, heat a pan and add the milk and water into it.

Once the milk start boiling, prepare the tea by adding ginger, cardamom, 1 tbsp tea powder and 2 tbsp sugar in it and boil it for 2-3 minutes in low flame. When the tea is ready , remove it from the stove and stain it.

Increase the flame to high and heat the clay pot properly. Use tongs for holding pot. Once the clay pot is heated properly, gently put the hot clay pot into a pan. Now, pour the prepared hot tea into all over the clay pot.

Now a nice, smoky flavored smell will come. Now, carefully take out the clay pot and transfer the tea into another cups, preferably a clay cup. Serve hot!

Ingredients:

  • Cream of tartar: 1 tsp
  • Dutch cocoa powder: 1 tbsp
  • Egg whites, at room temperature: 6 nos
  • Cornflour: 1 tsp
  • Caster sugar: 1 1/3 cups (295 g)
  • Finely chopped dark chocolate: 50 gm
  • Balsamic vinegar: 1 tsp
  • Icing sugar

Preparation:

Sift the cream of tartar, cocoa, and cornflour into a bowl and mix it well. Add a small pinch of salt into it. Mix it well and set aside. Whisk the egg whites in a large bowl with electric beaters until frothy.

Gently add the caster sugar, 1 tbs at a time, beating constantly. Make sure that the mixture is stiff and glossy. Add the balsamic and cocoa mixture to the meringue mixture and beat until well combined. Fold in the chocolate. Pour the mixture into a tray. Bake for 25 minutes, until it becomes firm and springs back when gently touched. Cool it for 5 minutes.

Slightly wet a towel with water. Grease a sheet of baking paper with oil and place it, oil-side down, over the sponge. Cover it with the tea towel. Gently invert the sponge (leaving the bottom layer of baking paper on the sponge) onto the baking paper and tea towel.

Slowly roll into a log from one long side using the tea towel. Set it aside for cooling. For filling, whisk mascarpone and cream until stiff peaks form. Add kirsch and sugar and mix well.

Slowly unroll the sponge. Gently remove the tea towel and top layer of baking paper. Spread cream mixture over the sponge and scatter three-quarters of the almonds on top. In a bowl, combine the berries and scatter three-quarters over the cream. Roll up tightly to enclose the filling, Peeling the sponge away from the bottom layer of baking paper.

Place it in a serving dish. Spread remaining cream mixture on top of the Roulade and top with remaining almonds and berries. Dust it with icing sugar before serving!
