Karen Ristevski killing : Husband Borce Ristevski sentenced to nine years in jail
Borce Ristevski (55) is sentenced to jail for nine years for killing his wife Karen Ristevski (27). The murder occurred at the couple’s home in Melbourne’s north-west, on the morning of June 29, 2016.
Ristevski never explained how he killed his wife despite pleading guilty to manslaughter last month. It has been reported that, after killing his wife, Ristevski put her body in the boot of his car and went to Mount Macedon. He hid the body in a nature reserve under logs, branches and foliage.
Ristevski said to the police that he had an argument with his wife about money and later on she went for a walk on the day she went missing. The Police identified Borce Ristevski as a suspect early on.
At the time of sentencing, Justice Christopher Beale condemned Ristevski for playing “the part of the innocent grieving widower”. He told to the Supreme Court of Victoria, “The pretence, the rank deceit only ended a few weeks ago when you pleaded guilty to manslaughter”.
