Fifteen beauties from different districts of TamilNadu graced the ramp. The grooming by the renowned personalities in the fashion and film industry was a confidence booster for the contestants. The competition was held in three rounds: Traditional Round, Gown Round and Black theme Round. The contestants are judged not only by the beauty but also focuses more on talent and personality. The winners were presented with gold crowns.

Harini Mohan Nair from Thiruvananthapuram won the title Manappuram Miss Queen Kerala 2021. Meenakshi Unnikrishnan from Thiruvananthapuram and Misha Jose from Kochi recieved the first runner up second runner up title respectively.

They won the ninth Miss Queen Kerala beauty pageant organized by Pegasus to find the beauty queen of Kerala. Manappuram Finance Limited and DQUE are the main partners of Miss Queen Kerala 2021 organized by Pegasus Global Pvt Ltd.

Europe’s most popular cultural event Eurovision had been canceled last year due to the pandemic. Reports state that it is to go ahead this year in Rotterdam even though the Netherlands is battling a third wave of the pandemic.

Organizers are adamant that Eurovision 2021 can be conducted safely. They say it can bring hope and signal the start of Europe’s long-anticipated revival of live events. Performers and their delegations will take part along with a maximum of 3,500 audiences.

Tickets are only available to those who bought them for the 2020 canceled show, and there will be none to the wider public. All visitors will have to show negative test results no more than 24 hours old to enter the arena.

Yaphet Kotto was well-known for his portrayal of Dr. Kananga, also known as Mr. Big in the 1973 James Bond film who died aged 81.

He was Bond’s franchise’s first black antagonist played opposite the late Sir Roger Moore as 007. The news of the actor’s death was announced by his wife Tessie Sinahon saying that her husband died on Monday in the Philipines.

He also had starred as technician Dennis Parker in Alien in 1979, along with Sigourney Weaver, and as William Laughlin opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger in the action film Running Man in 1987.

With a varied career in film and TV, he had also received the Emmy nomination for playing former Ugandan President Idi Amin in the 1977 movie Raid on Entebbe.

A Moroccan landscape painting done by the former British Prime Minister Winston Churchill and owned by Angelina Jolie got sold at an auction in London for more than $11.5 million.

The sale price was almost four times the pre-sale estimate and has smashed the records for a previous work by the leader- “Tower of the Koutoubia Mosque” sold at Christie’s in London for $11, 590, 715.

Churchill who was a keen artist got inspired by the Moroccan city and painted the Tower of the Koutoubia Mosque’s oil work and handed over it to fellow wartime leader US President Franklin Roosevelt. This work eventually went into the hands of actress Angelina Jolie.

A France court has imposed a huge fine on an African activist who has staged a protest in a museum in Paris by attempting to remove an African artefact from the museum.

The activist livestreamed the whole episode. He alleged that the art piece was the part of art pieces looted from his continent during the colonial era.

He defended his act by saying that his attempt was to reclaim the art piece which was looted from his continent by France.

The act was intended to gain global attention over the matter of colonial looting.

Anyway, the France court has dismissed his defence. It has imposed a huge fine on the activist.

The court has justified its decision saying that the fine has been imposed to deprive others from following the same path adopted by the activist.

The activist has been found guilty fort aggravated robbery.

The judge has pointed out that he could have adopted other methods to invite the attention of the global community into the matter.

The action of the French court has invited mixed response. Many have come forward in support of the activist and the matter he attempted to project with his act to the world.
