Valentina Vasilic from Serbia Wins Manappuram DQUE Miss Glam World 2022 Title

Manappuram and DQUE presents Miss Glam World 2022 title is now owned by Valentina Vasilic from Serbia along with Vaishnavi Sharma from India as first runner-up and Jechen Ladree from Bhutan second runner-up.

Turkish singer Gulsen arrested over religious schools joke

Gulsen, a Turkish musician, was detained and charged with inciting hatred after making a joke about religious schools. The singer made light of the “perversion” of one of her band members in April by joking that he had been to one.

Even though the statements were made years ago, they suddenly gained popularity online and came under fire from conservative groups. Critics claim that President Recep Tayyip Erdogan made the arrest in an effort to increase his support before the elections the following year. Gulsen, who is known as Turkey’s Madonna, apologised on social media before being detained and claimed people trying to “polarise society” had taken offence to her statements.

The singer apologised to “everyone who was hurt,” writing on Twitter and Instagram that she was “defending freedom of expression” with her “joke between coworkers” and that she “sincerely regrets any offence caused.” Until her trial, she is being detained.

President Erdogan attended one of the country’s first Imam Hatip religious schools, which were established by the state to train young men to become imams and speakers. President Erdogan’s AK Party first came to power about 20 years ago.

The institutions have also been attended by several other members of government.

The singer, whose real name is Gulsen Colakoglu, has previously faced criticism for her appearance and support of LGBT rights from traditional segments of Turkish society.

Hold Me Closer: Britney Spears releases first new music since 2016

It is challenging to judge how Spears’ voice has altered since we last heard her because she and Sir Elton sing in sync throughout the entire track with their voices bathed in echo.

She does, however, indulge in a few ad libs, one of which is a signature “baby” halfway through the song, which shows that her vocals have deepened and developed over the past six years.

Putin orders 10% boost in Russian troop numbers

The president of Russia has signed a directive that might result in the addition of 137,000 soldiers to the armed forces of the nation in the upcoming months. Russia is currently limited to having slightly over a million military troops and about 900,000 civilian employees.

The announcement by Vladimir Putin coincides with a nationwide recruitment campaign that offers generous financial incentives. Since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine six months ago, 70–80,000 troops have reportedly died or been injured, according to Western officials. According to accounts, recruiters have even gone to prisons and made financial and freedom promises to convicts.

A new army corps is likely to be composed of the volunteer battalions that are being established in different Russian areas, according to a statement made by the UK Ministry of Defence two weeks ago.

However, it noted that recruiting the necessary number of soldiers would be challenging due to “extremely limited levels of popular excitement for enlisting for combat in Ukraine.”

When it invaded Ukraine in February, Russia had initially predicted a swift, successful campaign, but the country’s staunch opposition has slowed its advance, and in recent weeks, the front lines have barely shifted.

Eurotunnel Le Shuttle: Passengers stuck for hours inside Channel Tunnel

After what looked to be a train breakdown on the Calais to Folkestone route, many of passengers were left trapped for several hours within the Channel Tunnel. Footage showing passengers of the Eurotunnel Le Shuttle leaving their vehicles and entering an emergency service tunnel has surfaced.

Eventually, they were put on a different train and sent to the Kent terminal at Folkestone. According to a Eurotunnel official, operations are again back to normal. Le Shuttle claimed that the situation on Tuesday night started when the train’s sirens went off and that this needed to be looked into.

According to a spokeswoman, these occurrences are uncommon but not extraordinary and much more often on trains carrying vehicles than private cars.

“The Shuttle was inspected after being brought to a controlled stop. We moved the people on board to another shuttle via the service tunnel [which is there for exactly that purpose] as a preventative measure for their safety and comfort “added the spokeswoman.

Tom Parker: The Wanted singer up for posthumous National Television Award

Tom Parker, of The Wanted, Kate Garraway, and Katie Price are three celebrities whose personal films have received nominations for National Television Awards. Five months before to his passing, Parker’s Inside My Head, a documentary about his brain tumour, debuted last October.

Garraway is nominated for her most recent film about her spouse Derek after winning the written documentary award the previous year. Additionally nominated are Julia Bradbury, Price, Paddy and Christine McGuinness.

Bradbury’s video detailed her battle with breast cancer, while the McGuinnesses opened up about their experience raising three autistic children. Price’s documentary centred on her crippled son Harvey. The winners will be decided by public voting and announced at a ceremony in London on September 15 together with the other NTA awards.

The LGBT teen drama Heartstopper’s Joe Locke and Kit Connor have both been nominated for emerging star, and the programme is up for best new drama elsewhere in the nominations.

Another Netflix success, Bridgerton, is nominated for three awards, including best returning drama and two for acting: Jonathan Bailey and Charithra Chandran.

Cillian Murphy of Peaky Blinders, Nicola Walker of The Split, and Vicky McClure of Trigger Point are also nominated for drama prizes, and Rose Ayling-Ellis of EastEnders is one of the contenders for best soap opera as she gears prepared to depart the programme.

Sanna Marin: Finland PM’s drugs test negative after party video

According to the AFP news agency’s citation of special adviser Iida Vallin, Ms. Marin’s urine sample had been examined for the presence of cocaine, amphetamines, cannabis, and opioids. After the tapes were made public, Ms. Marin received criticism from a number of lawmakers. One opposition party leader even demanded that she submit to a drug test.

Reporters questioned whether the prime minister, who has been in office since December 2019, would have been able to make hasty political decisions if necessary at a news conference last week. Darya Dugina: Daughter of Putin ally killed in Moscow blast

A suspected vehicle bombing has claimed the life of a close confidant of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s. According to Russia’s investigating committee, Darya Dugina, 29, perished following an explosion on a road outside of Moscow.

As “Putin’s brain,” the Russian scholar Alexander Dugin, her father may have been the intended victim of the assault. Mr. Dugin is a well-known advocate of ultra-nationalism who is thought to be close to the Russian president. The philosopher was giving a talk at a festival close to Moscow when Alexander Dugin and his daughter attended.

At the Zakharovo estate, where Russian poet Alexander Pushkin once stayed, the “Tradition” festival bills itself as a family outing for art enthusiasts. The two were scheduled to depart the location on Saturday night in the same automobile, but Mr. Dugin apparently decided to go his own way at the last minute.

Unconfirmed video that was uploaded to Telegram appears to show Mr. Dugin staring in disbelief as emergency personnel arrive at the scene of the smouldering wreck of a car. Investigators have determined that Ms. Dugina passed away at the spot close to Bolshiye Vyazemy.

Turkey crash: Bus ploughs into crash scene, killing rescuers

In Turkey, a bus struck the scene of an earlier traffic accident, causing 16 fatalities and 21 injuries. On Saturday morning, the event took place close to the city of Gaziantep in the south.

Firefighters, rescuers, and a group of journalists who had been dispatched to a scene where a car had veered off the road are among those who have perished. 200 metres (220 yards) distant, the bus struck the gathering, skidded, and toppled.
