In a bold move, the African country of Namibia, which was a colony of Germany, has refused to accept the repatriation offer made by the European economic powerhouse.

Namibia and Germany have conducted several meetings over the matter. The latest is the eighth meeting that has been organised to discuss this matter.

During the anti-colonial movement organised against the Colonial Germany, as many as tens of thousands of Namibians were killed.

While speaking to a group of media personals about the development of the meeting, a Namibian representative has expressed his country’s dissatisfaction towards the outcome of the discussion.

Notably, the details of the meeting have not been publicised. It has been reported that the disagreement has emerged in relation to the contents of the agreement.

For Namibia, it is a very sentimental issue. For Germany, it is an attempt to heal the wound.

As per the claim made by Namibia, only twenty-five per cent of the total population of the Herero community of the country survived the brutal suppression launched against the anti-colonial movement by Germany. And, the Nama population was halved likewise, according to the country.
