President of Brazil offers his son the post of US ambassador
Brazil’s president Jair Bolsonaro has offered his son the job of US ambassador.
Eduardo Bolsonaro (35), the younger son of Jair Bolsonaro has been offered with this post amid a heated debate in the US about the role and influence of President Donald Trump’s family, particularly his daughter Ivanka.
Eduardo Bolsonaro has told reporters that he would accept the post if nominated.
“If it is a mission given by the president, I would accept” – Eduardo.
Eduardo Bolsonaro is currently serving as a congressman and advises his father on foreign affairs.
Ivanka, the daughter of Donald Trump drew widespread scorn late last month after her prominent appearance at the G20 summit in Osaka alongside her father.
Mr Bolsonaro is highly hopeful about his son that he said that Eduardo would make a good ambassador to the US with his good language skills and strong relationship with the Trump family.
The Brazil’s president said, “He is a friend of the children of Donald Trump, speaks English and Spanish and has great global experience. He would be able to convey our message perfectly”.
