Notre-Dame breaths fire as investigation begins
Firefighters extinguishes the firing ruins of Notre-Dame with water on Tuesday. A raging inferno swept through the gothic cathedral in the heart of Paris, a morning before this incident.
Hundreds of firemen had frighted the blaze. The fire consumed the roof and collapsed the eight-centuries-old cathedral’s spire for more than eight hours before bringing it under control, saving its bell towers and outer walls.
A pair of bell towers survived, along with the cathedral’s elaborate stonework facade. The officials said that invaluable artifacts were saved, including the Crown of Thorns, believed to be a relic of the passion of Christ.
Franck Riester, the Culture Minister had told the media, ” It’s a symbol of our country that risked being destroyed”.
