EU to pay huge amount to migrants willing to return home
The European Union has announced an ambitious plan to reduce the burden of migrants which the EU country of Greece suffers at this moment.
The EU has expressed its willingness to pay a huge amount of 2000 Euros to migrants in the overcrowded camps in Greece willing to return to their home countries.
Most migrant camps in Greece are overcrowded. Those located near Turkey border are those which suffer the most.
Recently, Turkey announced that they would no longer prevent the travel of migrants from the war affected Middle East to Europe through its land.
The move is likely to help Greece reduce the burden of migrants.
Notably, the policy is only applicable to those who reached the continent of Europe on or before January this year.
The policy is expected to benefit at least 5000 migrants. It is believed that at present there are at least 42000 asylum seekers in Greece.
